As Republican leaders openly scrutinize their party after a 2012 election that was disappointing for them, rank-and-file Republicans, independents, and Democrats voice the same primary criticism of the GOP: it is "too inflexible" or "unwilling to compromise." When asked to say what they most dislike about the Republican Party...

Now, about that "unwillingness to compromise" crap, we need to be better teachers of the public on that front....but I was rally struck at how little effect the sodomy issue is going against the GOP.
Oh, look...TWICE as many of those polled dislike the Democrats because of their position on gay marriage...and the clown Obama is a drag on the party, too:
Preach it bro! Preach it!
So when is the last time you heard anyone even meekly suggest that the democrats might possibly consider moderating themselves in some small way?
Normally we shouldn’t trust gallop polls but many non-idiots are more concerned about surviving an unstable economy than they are about the stupid crap that the media is pushing on everyone.
I wouldn’t go crazy over this poll. They’ve listed ‘social issues’, and then listed the individual social issues, which is a dumb way to poll.
A balloon can never compromise with a pin.
SAID NO SANE POLLING SAMPLE EVER.
I’m waiting for the, “Americans’ Top Critique of the DNC...” poll numbers.
When a Democrat says compromise they mean do it their way or the highway.
No kidding.
Exactly. This shows the pr failure firsthand. Our side has done nothing but compromise since taking office in 2010. They have had a massive failure in communication.
Not once have I heard this claim disputed, and it cost us 2012.
If you had read the article, you would have noticed that the choices weren’t “offered”, but this was more like a true reading of the people: they merely listed what people SAID when asked....they weren’t given a list of choices.
Uh, did you even look at the article or what I posted? The same questions were asked about the Democrats.
Sheesh.
You’re right, although I know liberals who would not answer abortion or homosexual marriage separately, covering them all under the umbrella of ‘social issues’.
The republicans have done nothing but cave to the policies of the dems proving both parties are pursuing the demise of the US. What a bunch of coward traitorous PsOS we have in DC
Apologies, Dominis. I read the headline and what was posted on FR.
Compromising with evil or wrongdoing is tacit if not outright approval of evil or wrongdoing.
The GOP has a problem much, much bigger than this. Far more people than they can imagine are completely disgusted with the absence of Republican leaders who should be screaming at the top of their lungs every single day about what is happening to our country. A huge number of us out here just cannot wait to stay home and simply not vote at all next election.
I thought the Nazi toads in the state controlled “media” said that “Gay Marriage” was the Numbah 1 issue with low information voters these days.
“Compromise” is always somewhere to the Left of where we are today.
