China mobilizing troops, jets near N. Korean border, US officials say

China has placed military forces on heightened alert in the northeastern part of the country as tensions mount on the Korean peninsula following recent threats by Pyongyang to attack, U.S. officials said.

Reports from the region reveal the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) recently increased its military posture in response to the heightened tensions, specifically North Korea's declaration of a "state of war" and threats to conduct missile attacks against the United States and South Korea.

Good grief...So you’re suggesting we own Red China where half of all our stuff is now manufactured because we owe them hundreds of billions?

I’m starting to laugh...This is a joke right?

Should have elected MacArthur instead of Ike.

you beat me too it - China massed on the border preparing to cross over in support the NK. MacArthur wanted to bomb them Truman said no.

Wrong. McArthur pushed NK back to the Yalu river, to close for comfort for China who, the usual communist paranoia thought we would invade China after we finished NK. The Chinese swarmed across the Yalu, also sending mig 15s against our inferior P80s. McArthur ignored the Chinese and even denied they were in NK until it we were being pushed back down the peninsula after the fiasco at the Chosin reservoir. THEN, McArthur wanted to use Nukes, and rightly so, THAT is when Truman fired him.

There was more to it than that, McArthur had made Truman look foolish through out the Korean war and Truman's ego couldn't take it. He hated McA and, as most true Democrats, hated the military. Truman tried to disband the Marine corp, cut spending to the point where by 1950 our armed forces were unable to conduct proper training and as a result we got our asses handed to us at the start of the Korean War. McA pointed this out to the news media along with other things and kept doing so until McA finally fired him over the Nuke business.

Had it not been for McA and his brilliant plan to land at Inchon we would have been thrown back into the sea and Korea would now be completely communists. As it was after Truman fired McA the war went into a stalemate and things went to sh** and the BS cease fire that is still in effect, which led to Vietnam etc.

Truman was the beginning of the gradual eroding of the will to fight in our nation.

Unfortunately, our own people can’t stomach something like that anymore anyway.

Unfortunately, our own people are soon to experience it in our own borders now, because of weakness.

“Whose side is China on in this mess?”

Their own, just like always for the last 5,000 years or so.

Israel doesn’t have troops or equipment to project power much beyond their immediate sphere of influence. A midnight raid is one thing, a cross theater war with occupation another.

Well my Southern Belle Freeper, this could be the excuse China has been waiting for ....the CHICOMS have been salivating for years over the possibility of taking over South Korea, and its industrial base.

The Norkies sweep into South Korea, and take the entore peninsula with the CHICOMS close behind.

Result? Japan would shitting even more nickles and the USA is no longer the major force in the West Pacific. Taiwan would be next, and the Chinese would be well on the way to making their currecy the standard used as reserve currency in World Trade instead of the US dollar.

Obama is a weak president. The Norkies and CHICOMS have Obama’s number. Our gurly man child president is about to have a new one bored and scored. Obama has killed the dollar, and made us weak militarily. Now we will pay.

Maybe all the gays in the military will carry the fight to the Chi Coms and Norkies, and just blow them ...up? ? WHAT A MESS!

China won’t have to do that...I think they are as anxious to get rid of the North Korea Problem.

I see them going to South Korea and making them a deal...They align with them, and kick the US out, and in return, they’ll get rid of Fatso and Company.

they’ll get rid of Fatso and Company>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Not without a war. The North Koreans regard the Kim family as divine saviors, which is why the North Koreans tolerate starvation. Kim Jun Il is regarded as a god incarnate.Even the Chinese can’t get rid of fatso without war.

The Chinese are about to expand large in the West Pacific. They have been waiting for this chance since 1948.

Here’s my take. China will move in and depose the lunatics in NK and will be hailed as peacemakers by the Eurotrash and America leftists. Within 6 months, agitators in SK will be calling for US troops to leave SK as a premise for reunification with NK. Obama will oblige as part of his plan to neuter America’s influence abroad, but will cite economic necessity as the premise for the withdrawal of troops. The reunited Korea will become a docile “neutral” state, much as Austria was in the shadow of the Soviet Eastern Bloc. The loss of Korea as a strategic forward base will make Taiwan more difficult to defend and will lead to additional base closures in Japan. By the end of Obama’s term the US will cease to have a significant military presence in east Asia.

Well I think if the ChiComs make a move it will be for Taiwan.

South Korea is like the 5th largest economy in the world. They are more than capable of kicking the carpola out of NK without our assistance.

My belief is that Kim jung Un is either having a problem holding onto power or they are desparate for more aid so he is acting up again like they have done countless times before. The best way to deal with their threats is to ignore them and occassionally pacify them with aid.

Obama being the incompetent moron that he is is playing a very dangerous game. He is definitely playing with fire. What he should be doing is backdoor discussions with the ChiComs to get NK under control before they start something we will all be sorry for. Sending warships to the area is just forcing the ChiComs to act defensively. Its all bad. Thats what happens when you have a bunch of losers like Hagel and Kerry and Obama running the show.

Our Foreign Policy elite have bought the communist lie that China doesn’t control NK.

It’s total BS.

They are a proxy for China to lash out at the West and the US.
