I disagree with Rush slightly, he seems to be saying that even if the Supreme Court rules their is no constitutional right to gay marriage, that the states will end up legalizing it anyway. I just don't see States, like my home state of West Virginia, where the polls show the opposition to gay marriage has actually increase from 68% in 2009 to 72% now, legalizing it anytime soon (soon being in my lifetime). Also many states have Constitutional Amendments, which take a super majority to repeal, so legalizing gay marriage wouldn't be as simple as passing a law.

After the Obamacare ruling, I do expect anything good to come out of this SCOTUS. If I am pleasantly surprised by a ruling coming from this Court....great. But I am not counting on it.

None of this should even be debated on Capitol Hill. This is a state’s rights issue. If California wants to be the new Sodom, and Massachusetts the new Gommorah, then let them. The Feds should not be into this issue. This is a slippery slope into continued Federal overreach.

Our Founders are pissed.

We started down this long and weary road in 1970, when Ronald Reagan signed no fault divorce into law in California. Before that, marriage was indeed viewed as sacred, special, and important. Now it is simply a social contract that arguably anyone can enter into and out of with impunity and without cause or reason.

If the Republican Party supports homosexual marriages, social-issue conservatives will abandon the Republican Party by the millions.

Yes, by the millions.

Hey, RINO’s: try to win a national election without us.

Sadly I have come to the same conclusion as Rush.

Only one side showed up for this PR battle (public opinion) and of course Obama got two SCOTUS picks, Kennedy is with them on the issue.

And same sex roommates who currently receive “partner” benefits (whereas unmarried opposite sex couples do not) at some firms should lose their coverage DAY ONE after such a landmark ruling. Want equality of coverage? GET MARRIED.

If it is, get ready for the THOUSANDS of changes that will need to be done to the already bloated tax code. Hope they enjoy that task.

The whole system is corrupt beyond repair. It needs to be nuked from orbit!

37 states have changed their Constitutions to not allow for it. They will have to change their Constitutions again.

Unfortunately, Rush is correct. Anyone who can’t see this fight is largely lost is just kidding themselves. Assuming the economy doesn’t implode or nothing else happens to freeze issues like this in place, in less than 10-20 years gay marriage will be normalized throughout most (if not all) of the country. We’ll be arguing over legalized polygamy and incest for consenting adults soon enough.

Rush is probably right! As a long time listener to Rush, maybe my imagination, that since the last election, he seems to have thrown in the towel.

“Rush Limbaugh: Same-sex marriage will be legal nationwide”

And then they'll legalize polygamy, then legalize marrying animals, and their ultimate goal...legalization of pedophilia

God’s angels removed Lot and his family from Sodom before He destroyed it. And as He also protected the three Israelites in the fiery furnace and Daniel in the lion’s den. I only hope He will protect the body of Christ during His judgement of America.

It is Yahoo! afterall. They target the low information voter. I’d have to look up the transcript. Pretty sure Yahoo! misquoted him.

The moment this deviancy is forced nationwide is the moment I no longer care about the survival of the country. Better to have a portion just break away, like a Republic of Texas, and let the marxist sewer that America has become just burn.

Very interesting discussion on radio yesterday. Seems there are some 50 odd countries where polygamy is legal. But, if you are a polygamist you can't immigrate here. If DOMA is struck down, it opens the door to allow polygamy state by state.

Going to be a lot more fraud & deception in this country. Those blindly thinking, What the heck, are going to find that they will have no idea who they are marrying.

I am betting that the plan is crush DOMA claiming it is a state issue, which they think will appease conservatives. Later states will continue to legalize it and the argument will turn to forcing all states to recognize the same.e-sex marriages performed in states where it is legal. The left will find d a case, probable involving health insurance or some other employment benefit, and then claim all states must recognize same-sex marriage under the interstate-commerce ruse.
