None of this should even be debated on Capitol Hill. This is a state’s rights issue. If California wants to be the new Sodom, and Massachusetts the new Gommorah, then let them. The Feds should not be into this issue. This is a slippery slope into continued Federal overreach.

Our Founders are pissed.

If California wants to be the new Sodom,

California voted against fags marrying.

California voted for traditional marriage. That's what that whole Prop 8 fight was about. Prop 8 defined marriage between man and woman.

One of the arguments before the court is whether or not a person can be "married" and "not married", at the same time. Not married in a state, but married for purposes of federal law.

See The Chief Justice's Excellent Hypothetical by Randy Barnett, at Volokh Conspiracy.

It gets to the same conclusion you do.

Our Founders are pissed.

Our Founding Fathers would have thought of gay marriage as an abomination.

I agree with you. Abortion issue at the very least should be a state issue if people are not considering this murder.

Taking a stand on Gay Marriage at the federal level is upside down, but do YOU honestly believe that the left on the court will have the guts to punt this to the states? Hell No!

I’m watching what the conservative judges plan to do.

“None of this should even be debated on Capitol Hill.”

It isn’t being debated in Congress. It is being debated in the Supreme Court. The oral arguments sound like a congressional debate because the whole focus was on “How should I vote on this issue?” rather than “What does the US Constitution say?”

And that makes it even worse...
