Go, BSA!!
If the LSD leaves the BSA, where they require their patrons do their social service, the BSA will dissolve.
What do you mean by post #3? Thanks.
“In December, however, the LDS church launched a website encouraging members to be more compassionate in discussions about homosexuality. The website instructs Mormons to be loving and respectful toward gays and lesbians, while appealing to gay and lesbian Mormons to stay in the church.”
It’s the opposite to the Catholic church. The leadership are the ones shifting left.
I under the kid that successfully protested the “Stomp on Jesus” assignment is a devout Mormon.
Oh, yes, you’re right. I was glad to learn that the young man who refused to stomp on Jesus is a Mormon.
LDS is the biggest contributor to the BSA financially, if they pull out it won’t be able to sustain itself.
I’m pretty sure that’s why the BSA postponed the vote to let Sodomites be leaders and members till May.
I think he’s Catholic.
The leadership of the LDS shifting left? Not so. Don’t forget the LDS Church was at the forefront of the fight to pass Prop 8. Eeegads! I hope the Supremes come down on the side of Prop 8! Regarding being more compassionate toward homosexuals, wouldn’t you agree that’s a good idea. Hate the sin; love the sinner.
Heard it on the radio while driving. Good chance I heard wrong.
Parents have a right to protect their sons.
One word: Sandusky
No, I just looked it up. You’re right. He’s Morman.
Which is exactly what some kind of people want.
Why would gays want to belong to an organization that they’ve said for decades is a bunch of bigoted homophobes. Wouldn’t it be easier to form the “Gay Scouts” and go on about your business if your goal really was to allow gay youth to participate in scouting??
I know... /sarc
No, he was a Mormon but he just as well could have been a Catholic. Anyway, I am proud of him for taking a stand. I read where he got kicked out of the class.
Whether you need to believe LDS is a cult or not, their congregation is the most moral and strict religion I know.
They don’t drink, curse, smoke, etc. One told me their only non boring activity is dressing sexy in ballroom dancing.
I think we can count on the Mormons to not pull out. Just look at the size of their families.
“Why would gays want to belong to an organization that theyve said for decades is a bunch of bigoted homophobes.”
That is a darn good question! Anyway, whatever happened to freedom of religion and freedom of association?
Yes, I am proud of him, too. We need more people to take a stand like he did.
