Why would gays want to belong to an organization that they’ve said for decades is a bunch of bigoted homophobes. Wouldn’t it be easier to form the “Gay Scouts” and go on about your business if your goal really was to allow gay youth to participate in scouting??

The LDS Church is not the only church that has scouting in Utah! The Catholic Church and others do too! I know the Catholic Church does, because one of our parish deacons has been, and still is the Scout Master in our Parish! The Girl Scouts have a lady who has a Girl Scout troop with members of our parish, as well!

Nearly all of the troops, 99 percent to be exact, are sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Scouts are celebrating 100 years in Utah this year. Say what you will about the LDS Church but this is an indication of the Church's firm commitment to doing what's right.
No need to SAY anything - the church's action speaks for itself.
