Here we are sitting on resources our EPA won’t allow us to use - pretty easy to imagine that some day someone stronger will want what we’ve got and we’ll just be a toothless tiger unable to defend ourselves.
You forgot that we are dealing with absolute fanatics!
Take a look see...
Much worse then that. Western governments have been actively trying to cool the planet. And the East does not want to freeze to death. They will annihilate us instead of freezing to death.
I’ve been seriously thinking of moving to panama.
However, in previous centuries people survived the cold. Even much of England didn’t have central heating until the last 50 years or so. You can survive if you know how.

Some noteworthy articles about politics, foreign or military affairs, IMHO, FReepmail me if you want on or off my list.
Additionally, US and European governments have been actively trying to cool the planet. We need to know every single one of the projects they have undertaken to cool the planet. My guess is that some of these could have had an influence. Much easier ways to modify temps without using CO2. And if they did manage to increase cooling, we could enter this next cold Ice Age period very quickly.
Basically the perfect storm. We actively attempted to cool the planet just before it was headed back into the cold Ice Age period. Probably one of the dumbest moves ever in the entire Universe.
Thanks neverdem.
My thermostat stays at 64F all winter. Except at night, of course, when it’s at 58F.
I'll try to remember that. :(
Global Warming on Free Republic
LOL!
I have a sign in my office “Large carbon footprints make for happy trees.” Drives the libtards boocooo crazy. Once in a blue moon someone actually wants to engage and discuss, the truth blows their mind. Low information is very dangerous.
You might want to add this factoid to your discussion:
The first Surveyor-type satellite was launched in 1968. Every year since that date has marked a small, but measurable, increase in the percentage of the planet that was forested.
Perhaps, the Rain Forest is shrinking. But, if it is, the Taiga is going berserk.
We produce CO2, the trees appreciate it...and thence, indeed, they go forth and multiply.
Thanks for the ping!

Yes, although the coal has to be treated ('smokeless') in urban areas. Worth pointing out that there are still huge unexploited stocks of coal in Britain, which won't be going away. However, by far the most common heating fuel in Britain is gas.
