If their children are born in this country, they are US citizens with all the benefits and rights that entails. They are entitled to food stamps, Medicaid, and other social welfare benefits.

But the parents must apply for the benefits and the food stamp credit cards are issued in the name of the parents. The same holds true for Medicaid.

There are 300,000 to 400,000 anchor babies born each year to illegal aliens. I agree we should use applications for benefits as a way to track down and deport the illegals. The citizenship of the parents is not examined when they apply for benefits for their US citizen children.

Now some states are issuing or going to issue driver's licenses to illegals. And we have states providing in-state tuition to illegal alien children. If you can identify the children, why not go after the parents?

We just are not enforcing our laws and when states like AZ tries to enforce them, the federal government sues them.

Which, while "some" of us may have earlier dates on Birth Certificates, doesn't necessarily make us old at all.

Alas, I’ve always been more into DO than WATCH, and the only movies I’ve watched for the past 30 years have been the ones I’ve taken the kids and lately the grandkids to see.

....for at least as long as it takes for the teenagers to prefer The Company of Others at their movie goings. (Only two out of the nine are that old, but the birthdays sure come around fast these days.)

Yes the citizenship by birth has to end, not only do the illegals living here take advantage; those that live in Mexico cross the border just to have their babies here. That issue causes many problems, most have had no prenatal care, they show up in labor at a US hospital, then lie/don’t know about their medical issues- don’t pay the bill and if ANYTHING goes wrong there are lawyers usually in the waiting room to sue Dr. and hospital. Those that cross just to have their babies don’t live here, don’t plan to- contribute NOTHING but that child is a US citizen and entitled to all the goodies whenever they want.

Citizenship by birth is such a bad deal women from many countries come here just to have babies here to get every advantage- it is not just a problem with the Southern border.

I agree with you..IF the gays wanted what a LOT of single people want..get marriage out of the tax code, let people “assign” a soc sec or estate tax beneficiary...they would have asked for those changes. No need to mess with “marriage”.
