Sen. Rand Paul: Illegal immigrants should be allowed to obtain legal status

The dramatic shift in the Republican Party on immigration continued Tuesday, as Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a conservative tea party icon and possible 2016 presidential contender, endorsed an overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws that would allow the nation’s estimated 11 million illegal immigrants to obtain legalized status. “Immigration will not occur until conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. That’s why I’m here today: to begin that conversation and become part of the solution,” he said in a breakfast speech Tuesday morning before the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington.

All I can say on that, is this.

Orwell was right. Reduce the number of words, piece by piece until the ones left are meaningless.

They did.

I have Animal farm on netflix and I will be watching it with the kids later this week.

Orwell was most certainly right ., you know it;s no surrise that the commies were going to do certain things.
One only had to read the commie rules of 1963 or Alinsky, or Cloward and Piven

Hell all what they wanted to do was there for all to see

got to go now but good talking to you

The GOPers are bending over for the Mexican government.

Should we hold our breath for the Mexican Government's reciprocation?

Rand is not suggesting citizenship. He is suggesting allowing people who are here a path to a legal working status.

Words....just words.

The actual intent is to ease the illegality of what these people have done, and to make it easier for them to remain here under some sort of official government sanction.

What the American people want, is enforcement. We want to see widescale deportations, an end to gov't freebies for these lawbreakers, and immediate arrest and deportation upon contact with law enforcement. That is what the majority of the American people have been saying for decades.

The people aren't the least bit interested in what the politicians, the big money enablers, and the illegals want. We want the invasion to cease, which is the one thing Washington will not address. Cheap labor and votes are all that matter to them.

I'd better stop. I've got blood squirting from my eyes.

There isn’t a simple solution. Iam a Texan, lifelong, and Ihave seen the illegal problem go from what was an asset for Texasin some areas to a really bad problem.

If they are here illegally, they aren’t supposed to vote. That is one of the things that needs fixing.

Within 5 posts they are guaranteed to take a long held conservative ideal and deride it as ‘purist’.

One of them gave an Opus (not as a thread, but during a thread) yesterday.. Honestly, glad to see her go. She was on both of us (and others) back before Palin announced that she wasn't running... She started calling us 'purists' (can't remember if it was during or after the Primary)... Not sure she was a troll at all... but she definitely was no Conservative, even if her name said otherwise..

I know I am pushing a boulder up a hill, but push I must.

American contractors like myself, thank you for your efforts. The illegals have hurt us badly over the last 15 to 20 years. More than I can even begin to express on this forum.

To fix this problem, we (not sure I can do much good, other than communication on this side of the pond, but I try my hardest) need go in head-first, strong and hard to eradicate it (not much hope that will ever happen, but hope is still there)...

Of course they are bending over and they want us to bend over with them. They are bending over for the super elite and Wall St and cheap labor, and those who are never affected by illegals taking over America.

Corporatists are not now and never have been conservatives. The GOP elite are politicians looking for voters first, while many are corporatists looking for ways to profit while screwing the country. They did it by giving away our jobs to China and bailing out Wall St with our tax money as a reward for their blatant incompetence and campaign donations. Their ilk are now looking for ways to declare our country broke by giving it to illegals.

All I can say is this; If the republicans support amnesty without completely closing the border, or support homosexuality, they'll never win another election. People will simply stop voting.

Mark my words. These are left wing goals. The republicans shouldn't even have them on the table. They shouldn't even be discussing them. These issues are irrelevant to the more important needs in this country.

There's no reason to give either of these issues any attention at all. Move on.
