RNC ELDERS DETERMINE CONSERVATIVE 'PURITY' COSTS GOP ELECTIONS

The Republican National Committee’s internal evaluators argued that true conservatism loses the Republican Party elections in a new report released Monday. The evaluators were charged by chairman Reince Priebus with helping the GOP reach a larger voter base. A copy of their report was obtained by Breitbart News.

On page 54 of the report, authors Henry Barbour, Sally Bradshaw, Ari Fleischer, Zori Fonalledas and Glenn McCall argue that true conservatism hurts the Republican Party in elections. “Third-party groups that promote purity are hurting our electoral prospects,” they wrote.

That entire section was based on quotes from MSNBC host Joe Scarborough in a column the Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan wrote last year.

The kind of ‘conservatism’ that the GOP runs on - phoney wars, exporting jobs, screwing older people on medicare and social security, run away Wall Street and disaster Main St.

How about conserving the family working middle class and getting their votes like Bush and Reagan?

It is very hard for me to say the time is fast approaching to smash the republican party.

Allowing illegal immigration cannot possibly be a “reform”. It is capitulation to the unlawful seizure of America.

liberals and libertarians for years have bene infesting and infiltrating our primaries, ourcnventions, hell we let open libertarians speak at ours and even run on our ticket and then then they wonder why the base is pissed off with them and their left wing agenda.

Cruz , Sarah, Col West etc is the future not so sure about Paul as he;s already been mentioning what hsi father wants like liberal social issues like marriage and homosexuals.

Maybe if these idiots got out of DC and their bubble and elitist cocktail parties then we could win plus stop this nonsense of letting non republicans run in our primaries and speak at our conventions,

It’s not a matter of “purity”, it’s about the messenger. Conservatism is a great message, but the GOP has been nominating p*sspoor candidates to deliver it.

The fact is that people like Akin and Mourdock just aren’t good salesmen for the Conservative cause. They are percieved as being out of touch and downright looney. But again it’s a matter of style and presentation, not a problem with the material they have to work with.

The fact is Conservatives NEED to run better candidates. Especially since the Dems and their MSM synchophants know “crazy right wing nutjob” is a great political tactic to win elections while avoiding the real issues.

Rand Paul and Cruz might just be the kind of candidates (and leadership style) that fits the bill, but only the next year or two will tell.

Really? How would they know? They haven't tried it since about what, 1980?

Hmmm - let's see. Reagan managed to hand off the presidency to Bush the Elder - a rare feat - who then failed to get re-elected. Dole was a disaster. Bush the Younger won two terms but managed to tarnish the GOP brand to the point of political irrelvance in 2008 - and the only thing that gave McCain a fighting chance was the inclusion of conservative Sarah Palin on the ticket - and McCain managed to squander that. The conservative Tea Party movement returned the GOP to power in the House two years later. And the RINO's choice in 2012, Mitt Romney, managed to lose a very winnable election through his own rank ineptitude and unsuitability as a candidate.

So two solid conservative results and a slew of bad RINO results. But we're the ones costing elections.

Gotcha.

The GOPe is hopeless. For those needing proof, this report should make that clear.

Personally, I do not think the elite can be dislodged.

Which means: TIME FOR A NEW PARTY.

The GOPe will argue, of course, that 3rd parties always lose and fade into obscurity. They may be partly right. However, in this case the party that will fade away is the GOPe.

What we don’t have is a leader to lead the rebellion. Sarah Palin would be the natural choice, but she has declined to do so. The awkward way she handled the last Presidential race has cost her a LOT of support.

But... If not Sarah, who?

It should be more than obivious to any one paying attention, the GOP is moving away from conservatism. The question is are conservatives going to put up with the idiocy any longer or are they going to leave and make the TEA party a legitimate opposition party to big government progressive republicans and total government socialist/marxist democrats?

The GoP is destined to a long self-inflicted string of defeats as long as the powers that be hold sway.. You’d expect more from such highly educated folk,, but.. some folk just don’t like Tea.. but they love pork.

seeing as the republican party and the elitist like Peggy noonan think the base is wrong and can;t get it into their thick elitist cocktail party heads then maybe us the base should have a conservative party, no more liberal and libertarians telling us that we ned to change on social, defence fiscal issues.

Also as for reaching out, to who illegals then we give them amnesty, to blacks, don;t make me laugh most blacks couldn;t careless that they vote for a party which was the KKK, segregation etc and the GOP does not even mention that issue about the Dems

Voting is pretty much useless with all the corruption and democrat/republican party duplicity at the fed, state and local levels. We are now at the jury box and headed hell for leather to the ammo box.

If the GOP keeps trying to be democrat lite they will lose the House next year for sure. But alas liberals are liberals and now we have two liberal parties one that is whole hog lefty and another that wants the same things as the other they just want to be cheapskates about it.

Between immigration and gay marriage the GOP will self-immolate and be lucky to get 20% of the vote in 2016.

This appears to be their logic:

- We lost because more people voted for them than voted for us.

- We need more of those poeple to vote for us.

- To convince them to do so, we must offer them what they want. We must become more like the opposition.

What they don’t consider:

- No one wants an erzatz ‘rat when they can have the real thing. GOP offers to be Commie Light won’t fool anyone.

- We lost because ‘our’ candidate didn’t represent his own base ... so the base didn’t vote for him. Surprise!

- The path to victory is not to bribe ‘rat voters to our side but to actually represent the base’s principles.

If the GOP goes for immigration reform in a way that legalizes 10+ million illegals you will see the GOP candidate crushed worse than Reagan crushed Mondale. The GOP will gain NO Hispanic votes and will completely alienate the base. The ‘rat candidate will win with a 10 million vote margin and they will sweep Congress.

The RNC takes a page out of the Alinsky play book.

Which is? The up and coming young bloods now showing themselves are most appealing...they haven't thrown their values, principals etc. under the bus as yet...

"...true conservatism hurts the Republican Party in elections."

Reince Priebus, YOU LIE!

True conservatism has been the ONLY thing that has won Republican elections in YEARS!

Repubicrats on parade.

Now would be the time for Conservatives to break away and form their own party. With the Catholic Church now being run by a Latino, Latino Catholics in the US are turning towards the church again.

Now would be the time for Conservatves to strike at the RINOS. Conservatves can pull in the Latino vote and with that, African American church goers.

Get back to family values and humility. We could kill off the RINOS within 2 election cycles.

These “Elders”: The one thing I keep seeing among them is that they are clueless about how the internet and the nanny state has completely changed every, single rule in how politics is played.

These guys are seriously running their show like it’s still 1981 and can’t figure out why it isn’t working. Then they... do it again looking for a different result.

Like a retarded monkey.

Until this lot goes away things are not going to get better.
