Weld County Sheriff John Cooke wont enforce new state gun measures expected to be signed into law by Democratic Gov. John Hickenlooper, arguing the proposed firearms restrictions give a "false sense of security." Lawmakers in Colorado on Friday approved a landmark expansion of background checks on firearm purchases. Earlier in the week, Colorado lawmakers approved a 15-round limit on ammunition magazines. Both measures are awaiting the expected approval of the governor. Cooke told GreeleyTribune.com that Democrats in the state legislature are uninformed and scrambling in response to the Aurora movie theater shooting and other recent tragedies. "Theyre feel-good, knee-jerk reactions that are unenforceable," he told the news outlet.

Thanks Red in Blue PA.
G’night all.
Not because they would be Unconstitutional, but because of feelings. Ok then......
I would think a thorough colonoscopy would be in order as well...For incumbent democrats, they get two for the price of one...
Just thinking outside the box here...
A certain scene from Blazing Saddles comes to mind.
Democrats are the enemies of freedom-say it loud, say it proud, and say it to everyone. The Democrats are the enemy of America.
i’ll be helping sheriff cooke when he runs for reelection. what a patriot.
Colorado governor to sign gun controls into law

DENVER Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper will sign legislation Wednesday that sets limits on ammunition magazines and expands background checks for firearms, marking a Democratic victory in a state where gun ownership is a treasured right and Second Amendment debate has played out in the wake of two mass shootings.
The measures proposed are some of the strictest gun laws in the nation, and their passage comes after weeks of tense legislative battles. Republicans and gun rights supporters put up a major fight against the measures in this politically moderate state, while Democrats made them the centerpieces of a package of legislative proposals drafted in reaction to shooting rampages at a suburban Denver movie theater and a Connecticut elementary school last year.
But..but...but the law will be on the books for anyone who comes along in the future that wants to exercise POWER! Therein lies the danger to the Constitutional Freedoms that are rapidly dissolving before our eyes. Who would have thought as little as four years ago that such things could be happening? Obama and his Marxist allies...thats who!
