A bully tossed a disabled girl out of the back door of a moving school bus and straight into the path of oncoming traffic — an attack that easily could have ended in death.
Two matrons were on the bus dealing with a ruckus, but neither was able to protect Amore-Virginia Peterson, 13, on Friday. She said that when she slammed into the pavement she thought she “was going to die” — but she managed to scramble out of the road before she was hit by the cars bearing down on her.
The bipolar sixth-grader suffered a broken collarbone and was rushed from the scene in an ambulance.

If the victim were my daughter, I would not bother with the pathetic excuse for a school system that thinks a new bus route is the answer. I'm with you - prosecute for felony assault/battery and attempted murder, if possible in adult court. This thug needs a nice long vacation where he cannot hurt decent people. Eventually, he'll get life without parole, or better, but we need to keep other kids safe until this thug is old enough for that sentence.
The article doesn't say so but it seems like this is NOT a police matter. How can this be? If this had happened to my kid it would be a police matter, either because the cops were called and the little bastard was arrested or because failing that I'd have take care of the cretin myself.

You guys forget they are proposing anti-bullying legislation right now so the number of bullying incidents is going to rise in direct proportion to the number of days until they vote on it. Same with gun control.
But yeah they should discipline the bully like they used to back a half century ago. He wouldn’t be pulling this crap if they let parents discipline their children or at least not near as much of it.
I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that the psychopath was a member of a protected minority whereas the victim was not.
OTOH, if he (yeah, I'm assuming the psycho was male) had done something really dangerous like, say, making a pop tart into the shape of a pistol, he would have gotten suspended or expelled rather than merely transferred to another bus route.

School Districts like to use the Ed Code and consider themselves a power unto themselves. The kids are theirs from leaving home till back at home. They administer punishments and solutions. And with zero tolerance, they have no problems — a utopia.

1. I agree that the boy is not a “bully.” He is a criminal who should be charged with assault and perhaps even attempted manslaughter.
2. There were two “matrons” on the bus — two— who presumably were supposed to be able to deal with things like this. They failed. Just goes to show how useless a lot of the school bureaucracy is.

A good one. Had a neighbor that had her 3 yo daughter declared bipolar. A 3 year- old. This mom later had CPS take her kids and we fostered them for a month and a half. Nothing wrong with her that a good dose of supervision and regular meals didn’t cure. Things her Mom was too busy to supply. Doctors just rely on what the parents say when declaring alot of these “disabilities”.

My apologies for the previous post. From the link, the vic is obviously a person of color, but no information on the perp other than he is male.
But what's with this are looking to put the boy b.s.? He must have some special victim status than just his color to get this kid glove treatment since we all understand that in the libtard hierarchy that people of color are better than people without and females are superior to males. We don’t have the whole unvarnished story here, I think. If you look at the picture of the ‘disabled’ girl and her mother it might give some perspective. That girl is huge for her age and built like a tank. One could only imagine that bulk and size coupled with a bi-polar attitude coming into play. The look of the mother can, to me, only be described as “yeah man...I’m gonna git my effing money outta dis.”
This, coupled with a lack of to what extremes the bi-polar disorder extends, and a very very curious comment in the article about “the full sized bus.....”....makes me think there is more here than meets the eye.

I agree with you. If someone is thrown off a moving bus into traffic, my first thought is not to question the motives of the victim, or speculate about whether the mother is going to sue. I think its safe to say this was a crime and the girl is a victim.

THis girl, it’s March, this girl has been dealing with this criminal for six months or more now. She’s thirteen. Has she been tuned into the fact that the boy’s been making sexual advances toward her daughter, this murderer?
Why won’t these women just quit their jobs, become consumers, refuse to overpay (become family financial managers again), not marry idiots who will leave them, and just take care of their children.

I’m just saying, that with the concerns I’ve noted, it would bear well to get the facts before hanging the ‘accused’ off the bridge by his ding-a-ling...for all I know she coulda been beating up on him and they ended up in the back of the bus with her trying to throw him off and she got thrown out instead. I suspect this is a “short bus” incident.
As in, a bus-full of ‘special’ kids that got out of control.
Maybe both the victim and the attacker are “disabled.”
