I can visualize circumstances when/where the Church of Latter Day Saints is fragmented by ideas/proposals on immigration.
I can visualize non-monolithic segments (like Evangelicals) as being somewhat fragmented on some social issues.
It's always a bit tougher to say the same thing about the Mormon church and the Catholic church when edicts come down from Salt Lake City & the Vatican.

They talk about "social justice"...where's the "social justice" for those who've been waiting their turn on a list to come here...but don't have the "luxury" of living closer to an American border (to cross illegally?) ????
These are one-way "social justice" con artists who seemingly -- deliberately -- turn a blind eye to families in other parts of the world who likewise want both economic opportunities as well as possible increased security from their current locales.

Let me get this right: I sneak into Saudi Arabia, Mexico or Monaco, sign-up for welfare, food benefits, free housing, free tuition and use their emergency rooms for my medical needs and then expect them to give me citizenship? Yeah, okay.

Where were you in 1978 then when Lds changed its tune churchwide on accepting blacks into the priesthood? My math tells me that was 34 3/4 years ago.

* Mormons forced communism upon its people -- and then not (United Order)
* Adhered to theocracies under its first two "prophets" -- and then slowly drew back
* Said polygamy was a condition of the highest degree of glory -- and then not
* POLITICALLY Encouraged its Utah Territory voters to be Democrats -- and then told whole groups of people wholesale to "balance it out" as Republicans as statehood approached

Prospects for conversion are few in the US and missionaries are busy in latin countries lying to residents about a "restoration of the gospel" and trying to convince them that their Christian faith, (usually catholic) is bogus.
