Gabby Gifford's husband, Mark Kelly, testifies against AR-15s, and then goes out and buys one
The Truth About Guns ^ | 3/10/14 | Nick Leghorn

Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly using the emotion that comes from her 2011 shooting in Tuscon, Arizona to demand “something needs to be done” to stop “gun violence,” and that something (according to Mark Kelly) is the ban of “assault weapons.” He has testified to that effect before the U.S. Senate, as well as in Colorado. However, it appears that Mark Kelly is another shining example of the belief of the civilian disarmament folks that the same logic they use to try and disarm the general population doesn’t apply to themselves.

He bought it just so he could turn it into the police!!!!! Frankly I’m surprised he could buy one at all because they are totally unavailable here in NJ at even twice the normal price. My brother in Philadelphia owns one and I offered to buy his but he said no. Oh, well.

Simple. He is an astronaut. That makes him an elite. Like a retired congresswoman or a billionaire.

Geeze give him a break already/S

When they are outlawed at his request, he expects to get a David Gregory Exemption for The Important People.

He seems Drew-Peterson-ish to me.

"Giffords accidentally shot to death by husband while he cleaned assault rifle -- Kelly says, 'See, I told you these things are dangerous!'"

"Is Mark Kelly about to go on a mass shooting spree, perhaps the illustration of the need for stricter gun control laws he was talking about? Probably just as likely that happening as any other law abiding citizen — nearly a zero percent chance."

A excellent question, prehaps considering the stress that Captain Kelly has been under the pass few years he should get a letter from the VA say he is banned from owning a gun.

Exactly. The elite believe they can be armed, just not the peasants.

I think the magic here is being able to walk into a store (practically anywhere) and walk out with an AR.

They’re rather scarce around here.

I’m thinking that Kelley was thrown into this mess and never wanted to be involved in the first place. I suspect he bought the weapon knowing that he would be outed as a hypocrite and suits him just fine.

My opinion is that the entire Democrat apparatus (sadly, including the astronaut husband) is blatantly using Gabrielle Giffords....she appears to not be in control of her own actions and words.

Kind of makes me sick to see...

Does anyone remember that hatefilled vitriol that was posted about Gabrielle by some LIBERALS after she voted for some kind of conservative measure (I forget the specific issue)? This was before the shooting, of course.

But in the days following the shooting, the media was pointing at Sarah Palin. And someone HERE on FR found a post a few weeks old by some liberal saying “My congresswoman is dead to me...” referring to Gabrielle and one of her votes on an issue where she sided with the Republicans.

Giffords then was “kept on” as a rep until she reached “pension eligibility” even though it was abundantly clear she was unable to do the job.

The whole thing is just exploitative and wrong.

One more thing: in the weeks following we heard all about how Debbie Blabbermouth Schmuck and Gabby Giffords were great friends. Did anyone ever do any pre-shooting research to see if this claim was accurate? Because the Schmuck is, sadly, the assclown who is in my district...and I NEVER heard her mention her good friend Gabby Giffords EVER. Just another big fat freakin’ LIE, it seems to me, that has become part of the Obama buttlicking media story.

Since Kelly has stated that the purpose of “assault weapons” is to “kill a lot of people very quickly.” I would like to ask him how many innocent people was he planning to kill with his AR-15?

But you don’t understand - his need is so much more important and greater than ours.

They are important people.

The rest of us? Not so much.

I’m beginning to see why his brother volunteered for that year long mission to the ISS.

It looks as if Mr.Kelly has psychological issues to take care of and he should have never purchased that AR-15 If we’re to believe that he bought in only as an impulse purchase.

He states that he’s going to turn the weapon into the local Police right after buying the weapon. Now that’s the clincher right there.

He should never be allowed to purchase another weapon without getting a psycogical exam first.

According to Feinstein “AR-15s are only good for killing/hunting people. And retired military shouldn’t have them because they are suffering from PTSD.”

I see red flags all over the place.

Drew Peterson or Scott Peterson? Either way this Capt. Mark Kelly is a scumbag of the lowest form. Lying and trying to change the story is practically pathological in nature. Perhaps he needs to be put on the banned list from buying firearms if he couldn’t pass a mental evaluation, which by first look, it appears something ain’t right there, upstairs.
