Gabby Gifford's husband, Mark Kelly, testifies against AR-15s, and then goes out and buys one
The Truth About Guns ^ | 3/10/14 | Nick Leghorn

Over the last few weeks, we’ve seen Gabby Giffords and her husband Mark Kelly using the emotion that comes from her 2011 shooting in Tuscon, Arizona to demand “something needs to be done” to stop “gun violence,” and that something (according to Mark Kelly) is the ban of “assault weapons.” He has testified to that effect before the U.S. Senate, as well as in Colorado. However, it appears that Mark Kelly is another shining example of the belief of the civilian disarmament folks that the same logic they use to try and disarm the general population doesn’t apply to themselves.

I feel sorry for what’s happened to that family, but Mark Kelley CREEPS ME OUT for some reason. It’s not even politics, it’s something else. Can’t put my finger on it.....he seems SLIMY.

Kelly is like Mrs. Brady. Using the shooting of his spose to become famous and get their 15 minutes, starting non-profits that they can profit from.

He should be thankful that his wife survived, and take her and live a quiet life off her Government pension, but he wants to go around flaunting her for his own purposes.

He and Sarah Brady are major a-holes.

typical left wing hypocrite. I feel sorry for Gabby because its obvious he’s using her simply to get his moment of fame.

You can't make this stuff up.

Actually, people probably could make up stuff this irrational and anti-logical, but they'd be accused of not having finished high school, smoking too much pot, or both.

I think we're looking at yet another case of leftist extremist hypocrisy in action; I'm equally sure both President You Didn't Build That and some of the most blatant anti-Second Amendment bigots in Congress are protected by professional bodyguards armed with the very weapons they're striving so energetically to deny us commoners.

I certainly don't mean to advocate law-breaking, but must confess I find it perversely ironic the leftist extremists trust us "Neanderthals," "knuckle draggers," "bitter clingers," et alia not to live down to the names they call us. If we ever did live down to the names they've been calling us the past few decades, they'd be corpses in short order.

A comment at the gun blog asked whether Mark’s purchase could be considered a straw purchase because he bought the AR to “give” to someone else (the PoPo).

Good question.

A comment at the gun blog asked whether Mark’s purchase could be considered a straw purchase because he bought the AR to “give” to someone else (the PoPo).

Of course, he only made up the bit about giving the gun away to the police after bloggers started calling him on the phone asking about the gun. Then, three days after the purchase, he posted his Straw Man Purchaser story on his facebook page.

I would love to see Mark Kelly on the stand, forced to tell the truth, which is that he bought this rifle so he could be grandfathered when the ban comes down, like millions of Americans are doing all over the country.

Of course, he feels he can be trusted with such a weapon. It is only the rest of us who cannot be trusted.

Maybe Mrs. Kelly told him one too many times that "He... Needs... To... Do... Something... About... The... Recyclables... Right... Now!!!" one to many times. I could see how that could get to a guy!

Sometimes you have to ask “how did Orwell know back in 1946 that his book (Animal Farm) would actually become the way of life in the Obama Bizzaro world of today?

“All animals are created equal. Some animals are more equal than others.”
