IMHO, I think the source has an excellent video.

BTW, I think Chuck U wants to kill it. He was behind the effort to recruit "moderate" rats the to the Senate in 2006 and 2008. Chuck U likes power even more than gun grabbing.

Chucky went “pro-gun” for a while, back in the day.

Senators postponed consideration of legislation limiting gun violence...

Senators aren't God. They can't pass legislation that limits gun violence.

They can only pass legislation that takes guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens.

The people most likely to commit "gun violence" will still have theirs.

“...legislation limiting gun violence...”

That’s a hot one; count on The Washington Post to choose the most biased phrasing possible.

Sen. Charles E. Grassley (Iowa), listed several specific concerns with the bills. He said the assault weapons ban “raises a lot of constitutional questions”

The major question is whether it is fair for the government to have superior weaponry when confronting a disagreeing populace. Occasionally David will get lucky when he is up against Goliath, however, in the meantime, a lot more Davids will die than Goliaths.

I can’t believe that a national registry is the only sticking point. I know Coburn is useless, but this just doesn’t make since.

translation, dems don't have the votes so they are going to re-write the bill to see if they can attrack enough votes.... Republicans should not even discuss this and let the dems eat their own. That is what the Dems are doing to the Republicans..... I don't think the dems can get enough votes from dems.

“Senators postponed consideration of legislation limiting gun violence. . ..”
??????????????
I doubt they had any proposed legislation aimed explicitly at limiting violent uses of guns.

We know the real reason why they are delaying this legislation. They figure, and rightly so, that new anti-gun ownership laws wouldn’t go over too well right about now.... when DHS is releasing thousands of illegal immigrant criminals. Disarming or attempting to disarm law-abiding Americans while criminal illegals are being set free is just tacky.

Timing is everything.

“Grassley hinted that at least some Republicans might be able to support the background check proposal.”

The socialist are pushing “background checks” as back door national registration that WILL lead to arbitrary and capricious confiscation of firearms.

When all the dust settles, the only legislation the socialist wants and needs is “national registry data base” so they can confiscate firearms. Without knowing who owns firearms, or where those firearms are located, and the type of firearm they will be confiscating, all other is nothing more than minutia and will be for naught. This is exactly the findings in the DOJ memo recently brought to light by the NRA to the chagrin of the gun grabbers!
