Glenn Beck talked about this kid on his radio show today.
Glenn said he will try to interview this young man tomorrow, Wednesday, on his radio show.
It’s refreshing to see this work ethic in 2013 America.
Chicken strips and gravy
The extreme foolish seem to be everywhere nowadays..
If I was in his shoes at this time I’d kill those two videos as quickly as I could realizing that they would still be copied and shared.
I have had zero money a few times.
That is why I always have a backup plan, and have done so since I was 17.
I have always had some extra food stored and a bicycle, tools and parts.
That way when you're broke, it's just an irritant, not a disaster.

According to that story, he was going for a job at a thrift store, not Dairy Queen.
And if you then read the facebook post of the man who hired him, he says he gave him money for lunch and dropped him off at the Dairy Queen.
So it could be the DQ was just where he dropped him for lunch, and the thrift store was nearby and that’s where he was going for a job interview.
Indeed...coming from a black state and being old enough to have been there...and worked with them as a boy ..yes indeed blacks did used to work more
But it was never perfect and their cultural barometers were problematic even then...illegitimaacy, crime, and yes even unemployment
The mimimum wage was an FDR invention for the Great Depression....an income distribution scheme to start with
it was not an invention to protect whites from blacks taking their jobs
what about the issue of black culture in Africa where there is no govt handout system to speak of or where whites have never gotten the chance to corrupt thee,?
whose fault is that?
no doubt a dependence society like ours has hurt them but that is not the whole issue and smacks yet again of white paternalism as though the poor blacks live and die at the whim of either white action or govt action
I would like to think they have the free will i have and you have to resist handouts...if they exercise it
out of wedlock births and serial illegitimacy has always been the biggest issue for black culture here and worldwide
that more anything is what hurts any progress they make as a group and contributes to their reputation and violence and crime prone more than average statistically
illegitimacy rates for blacks prior to 1960s was still over 20% while the white rate was 1-2%
all that Civil Rights stuff folks here applaud which had handouts right on it's heels has made an existing problem worse...ending that will improve but not cure the underlying problems....
the cure is in the hands of black people individually as it always has been and if folks truly believe they are equals how can anyone deny them that?
this constant harping they are victims of the government relieves them of personal responsibility
Granted, their sundays and blizzards are ridiculously expensive but their regular ice cream treats are less than $2 (cones, star kiss, ice cream sandwich). I’ve never seen a DQ that didn’t have a full menu of burgers, tacos, chicken, etc.
Awesome story. Best of luck to Jhaqueil Reagan in what will be the beginning of an astonishingly successful career. I hope that Mr. Bouvier is richly rewarded for recognizing and rewarding the potential of this young man.
Good example. There are many more like him. I see them doing hard labor outdoors and being directly educated in technologies. There are many, but they comprise a very small proportion of the teen and early 20s population—a majority misdirected in many ways by older political regulator folks (public schools, television garbage, leadership examples that our nation can’t afford, all).
As with many stories the facts don’t always stay the same throughout. I suspect it involves bits and pieces being picked up from different accounts of the story without the proper context. Regardless it makes for an interesting story and I’ll give the young man credit for attempting to find a job. His rapping I’m not a fan of.... JMO.
I was impressed with the restaurant guy.
Instead of whining about Katrina and expecting a FEMA trailer and years of subsistence payments, he headed north, and used his unique menu to build a restaurant.
He’s getting good publicity which should only help his business.
I’m definitely checking it out even though it’s on the opposite side of town.
I didn’t think the restaurant owner was black when I watched the video of him. Skin color can be a subjective thing.
The restaurant. It's a meme.
They’ve changed the steak finger recipe so now they taste like peppered cardboard. They’ve also changed the recipe for big dudes to make them also taste like peppered cardboard. And they’ve tripled the prices. Just three years ago you could get a hunger buster for $1 so they could out do McDonald’s little bread and meat dollar burger. It’s cheaper to get takeout from restaurants than fast food joints these days. Of course, home cooked it better by far.
I think he’s a Cajun. So he could have all kinds of ancestors. But on tv he looks “white” or maybe “white with a tan” LOL.
My bad ,i read the story yesterday a Glenn Becks website and i guess they kept referring to him by his surname.
