LOS ANGELES (AP) — Dozens of protesters rallied outside Los Angeles police headquarters Saturday in support of Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer and suspected killer of four who died after a shootout and fire this week at a mountain cabin following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory.

Protesters told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/11Ndm6i ) they didn't support Dorner's deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner's claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department. Many said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner's death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.

Michael Nam, 30, who held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription "RIP Habeas Corpus," said it was "pretty obvious" police had no intention of bringing Dorner in alive.

Thnaks for you response:
Do we support cops firing wildly at people in a pick up because it matched a description?
No. Do we support every political person with an R behind his/her name? No!

Dorner was wrong and cruel, but not much different than those for whom he worked.

How many of those for whom Dorner worked shot a young woman in the face and killed her?

Clearly wrong, but how many here support aggressive action in Afghanistan, “Level the village”? That mentality is no different than what Dorner did. Clearly wrong.

They clearly intended to kill Dorner

You have definite proof of that in your possession?

Of course not. We are all armchair quater backing with no proof of anything. But clearly they have acted that way in the past. Firing on a vehicle before being certain of its occupants suggests the desire to outright kill.

. Most police are nothing more than bullies.

Personal experience and from strong acquaintances who are cops who openly express desires to kill and harm. From seeing policing agencies in Chicago, New Orleans, and LA who conduct themselvces accordingly.

Where did you acquire that information? A university study?

But don’t forget, Dorner was one of them.

Dorner was also a Navy Reservist. Are you going to indict everyone who served our country in the Navy?

Of course not. I’m actually shocked that a sailor did this.

Thanks again.

Not surprising.

What's really surprising is out of 8 million people, a dozen or so supporting some lunatic who murdered totally innocent people, is put into breaking news and allowed to stay there.

Breaking news?

Gak...

You do have a point my FRiend, but nowadays it seems that Color is thicker than pretty much anything.

Such is life in Obamaville.

Clearly wrong

Wrong? Littering is wrong. Premeditated, cold-blooded murder is abhorrent.

how many here support aggressive action in Afghanistan

That is military action in a war zone. Let's keep focus on the subject, Dorner.

clearly they have acted that way in the past.

Past actions then would indicate that every citizen intends to kill a cop. Is that logical?

Personal experience and from strong acquaintances who are cops who openly express desires to kill and harm

In other words your opinion is based on nothing more than your experience and a limited number of acquaintances. Have you ever been incarcerated?

Exactly right.

They had this guy holed up in a cabin. Form a perimeter, cut power and water, and he will come out. Start playing the theme song to “Barney” and he might just come out screaming for mercy.

But instead they started lobbing in tear gas grenades. By the way, that means someone was within 100 yards or so if the house, and in harms way. This was done very quickly.

Now for a more, shall we say, interesting take. There was a stand off in my area not that long ago. The perp killed three people, and locked himself in a rural house. The cops keep watch for a few days till he walked out and was arrested. No fire bomb, no tear gas, just a bunch of deputies with guns and a decent negotiator getting the guy to talk.
But he didn’t kill cops, so the rule of law applied to him I guess.

Can you see my, and others, concerns? If three “civilians” died, they would not have torched the building.

Well the young woman and her fiance were civilians so your concern seems cohfused.

he will come out

He had 6 days to surrender peacefully. He had no intention of coming out.

That about sums up the mentality of liberals. Logic is a word that is not in their vocabulary. In every single area in life, if it illogical, they will support it.

No jobs? Steal the money of people who create jobs by raising taxes.

Illegals bankrupting states? Invite more illegals in.

Gay guy steals military secrets because he was in a snit? Overturn DADT so more gays join.

Mass shootings because nobody had a gun to shoot back? Disarm even more people.

Muslim men in their 20s doing all the terror attacks? Try to get a bill passed that will make it easier for them to get into the country (like Ted Kennedy did).

You could literally sit here for hours stating all the examples. They are THE definition of the word "insane" in the purest sense. One cannot show a greater example of that word than pointing at a US liberal, it just does not exist.

He was surrounded for six days? Don’t think so.

He killed cops and their families. He knew, and everyone involved knew, that the police would not take him alive.

I am not saying I am sad he died. I am not. I am saying that there is a double standard that is very clear here.

He was surrounded for six days?

I didn't state that, did I? Why do criminal apologists have so much comprehension difficulty?

He killed cops and their families

The young woman and her fiance were civilians, weren't they?

I am saying that there is a double standard that is very clear here.

Why not test your contention? Kill 4 innocent people, write a manifesto threatening others, take hostages, hole up in a cabin shooting at police and see if they lob teargas canisters into the building, okay? Be sure to let us know the time and location so we can follow the progress.

Suddenly, I start seeing virtue in police brutality, despite my better instincts. Must get my eyes checked.

They probably fired him because he was A CRAZY NUT JOB! His “manifesto” was nothing but drivel...sort of like the idiots that post “I’m leaving FR” opuses!

He probably didn’t like getting passed over by other “minorties” like Hispancis, gays and Asians.

I’m going to live a life of gloating when this happens to thousands of “African” Americans!

Live by liberalism, die by liberalism.

What else did these vermin have to do, their EBT cards don’t get credited by Obama for two more weeks. The only surprise is that there weren’t thousands of them. And some of them were gutless to their commitment by wearing masks.

I remember seeing an op-ed about Dorner titled “Finally, a mass shooter that leftists can love.” How prophetic it proved to be!
