I'm hoping you are right, but my view of the video brings up the question as to whether or not the two officers might have been hit by friendly fire. The cops were shooting somewhat indiscriminately in the direction where the two officers were. One of them might have mistaken one of the cops for the suspect.

It's a possibility, but most of what was heard was covering fire as the two wounded were removed from the road. An earlier overhead view (before TV copters were ordered from the area) shows weapons left on the roadway.

Thanks for both those links. I have been glued to the scanner for days and have not missed the media news at all. When the scanner feed finally crashed this afternoon I resorted to peek at the media....only to be disappointed once again with their lack of facts.

Just like a local situation here in Florida where a father killed the man who killed his two children via vehicular homicide.

BTW, it was one shot to the head, no innocent bystanders injured, and no government workers overtime pay involved...
