Dem Congressman: ‘It’s Clear That We [Also] Need to Look at Handguns’
On Friday night’s Rachel Maddow Show, Illinois representative Luis Gutiérrez told guest host Melissa Harris-Perry that the violence in his Chicago district could be cause for lawmakers to take action not only on semi-automatic weapons, but on handguns. Noting (correctly) that nearly 97 percent of Chicago gun murders in 2011, the most recent year for which statistic are available, were carried out with handguns, Gutiérrez said,”It’s clear that we need to look at handguns also.” The recent debate on gun control has centered around reimplementing a strengthened version of the 1994 assault-weapons ban and on limiting magazine sizes. It would leave handguns largely untouched. |
And wouldn’t be ironic if “pete” got himself perished by way of a chainsaw, or butcher knives?
He died a long time ago. Jim and Sarah Brady now run the organization and renamed it THE BRADY CENTER to remove the stigma of handgun control.
Now they want to ban handguns, rifles and shotguns.
People need to remember that if a new law is passed, before the ink is dry they will be back wanting more, and more, and more till there is no more.
I think that these gun grabbers need to have a run in with MS13.
If it were up to me, they would all be charged with treason, and publicly punished on the National Mall in such a way that it makes Vlad the Impaler look like a nice guy.
