"Whether this weekend finds you blowing two feet of snow off the driveway or counting the hours until "Downton Abbey," make time to watch the video of Dr. Ben Carson speaking to the White House prayer breakfast this week.
Seated in view to his right are Senator Jeff Sessions and President Obama. One doesn't look happy. You know something's coming when Dr. Carson says, "It's not my intention to offend anyone. But it's hard not to. The PC police are out in force everywhere."

“After all, he clearly gets what De Tocqueville got!”
Obama thought De Tocqueville was a place to score choom.
Obama thought De Tocqueville was a place to score choom.
...that was good enough to bear repeating, I guess...
I would never, never, never vote for anyone, no matter how wonderful they are on any other issues, who does not uphold our Constitutional right to KABA, with no ifs, ands, or buts.
“Obama thought De Tocqueville was a place to score choom.”
ROFLMAO!! You should make that your tagline. :)
No problem with that, I agree.
I guess that also means you don’t want Clinton, Biden or any other of their ilk ( democrats) winning the next presidential election.
We have to get through now to Nov. 2014 first. Then we see what comes up next.
I’m in.....
President Won did not look the happy camper at all during the speech. I had fun watching him looking dower and annoyed at the speech content, maybe for Dr. Carson too. Good speech, even better with the uncomfortable president.
Carson may not have a strong interest in running, I doubt he has a lot of policy views outside of health care and taxes, but should definitely be considered as a VP possibility (or for any other national appointment he couldn’t turn down ! :-).
I just found the following. It gives some perspective on Dr. Carson’s views in general.
It appears he is believer in and a defender of the Constitution, like all right-thinking people (like we here) are. :-)
“World-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson told conservative radio and television host Armstrong Williams on Friday that his attacks on the nations ills in his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast this week were not directed at President Barack Obama.
In his first interview since upstaging the president at the event on Thursday, Carson, director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore said his comments were directed at the situation that is going on in our nation and how we can solve it.
Dr. Benjamin Carter - If you are a student of history, you know that there are many societies that started out saying the government will be here just for these purposes and people are pretty much on their own, and virtually in all cases the government just continues to grow and to grow and become more aggressive and pretty soon people lose their rights and pretty soon you have tyranny.
That’s the natural course of things.
The people who framed our Constitution tried to frame it in such a way that that would not happen.
And while we were respectful of the Constitution it did not happen.
But now there are many people who think maybe the Constitution is a little bit outdated, and that is a precursor for allowing the same thing that has happened to other societies to happen to us.
And those of us who understand this must be vigilant and must be outspoken and not allow the Constitution to be ignored .
I agree.
I think we should not roll out these bandwagons at the drop of a hat. Granted that Dr. Carson did give an excellent speech, and his seems to have some good ideas. However, if Dr. Carson is interested, he should be able to sell his ideas, maybe hold an executive level position in public service, then if he is interested run for the presidency.
That being said, I really admire Dr. Carson. He would be a good spokesman for conservative values of individual responsibility, right sized government, sound national financial policies, individual liberties and opportunities. He is a prime example against the democrat culture of a welfare state, slothfulness, and lack of personal responsibility. An example of whatever your economic status, race/color, through hard work and ambition, with God-given talent, you have the opportunity to make something of yourself and become a productive member of society. That goes against the culture that the democrats/liberals are trying to foster, and quite successfully so far.
Obama better be happy that Carson wasn’t targeting him directly- he got his AH surgically reamed out and handed to him.
From the little I’ve heard from Carson, he makes Obama look like dirt...come to think of it, so does dirt.
I finally watched it (and recorded the audio). It seems to be a more thorough but similar speech to his prayer brkfst speech.
Minority guy makes some sense and freepers have the usual orgasms for President
Never fails to happen
So predictable
Do you guys only see black people on Fox or the NFL?
But he’s black....what else matters right?
Btw...he equates the parties as both good and bad.....really Dr Carson?
I know. The left has had Hussein, we must make up for lost time (roll eyes). It’s as if we’re in a race to see who can pander the fastest.
I’ll agree with him (sort of ) on this-I wouldn’t give two cents for either party right now. Conservatives are in the wilderness, and as I believe Bible prophecy, there’s no reason to think that we won’t be in the future. Being a conservative means wanting to conserve traditional values, and that’s in the rear-view mirror now.
I could answer that... but I won’t. He is a black man who lives in Baltimore, Md.... therefore he calls himself an independent. You can glean what he is politically from his policy statements... AND, He is NOT running for President lol
I know he wants to expand his charity... and perhaps he would run for congress or Senate. Senate however, would be difficult in Maryland.
There and also in the mirror.
Please, don't get excited. Race means less than nothing to me.
