It's too bad that our idiot California politicians cannot figure out that their high taxes, increased regulation and red tape result in $7.00 milkshakes in the late great state of California.
Shakenfreud?
THE RENT’S TOO DAMNED HIGH! AND SO ARE THE SHAKES!
A politician who gets drunk, wants to fight a girl, hides from the cops? He’s got some Kennedy in him.
Trickle down Lieberal taxeconomics shakes up more than just the milk. Now pay your unfair share Mr Mayor and dont cry over spilled milkshakes.
He’s right, tho. $7 is a ripoff (and Atwater’s no swank tourist town, either. it is in an area of very high unemployment)
I grew up around Foster’s Freeze (a California tradition, started in La Brea).

It’s one of the very few fast-food places where you can get a malted milkshake (Carl’s Jr. is the other one).
A $7 milkshake is a bit steep. Must have ordered a large one.
... it's too damn high.
Did the drunken fool not see the price of the shake on the menu board? Or were his eyes too blurred from the booze?
A couple things: First, dairy really isn’t too good to consume if you’re drunk because the alcohol curdles the milk. Second, I thought Foster’s Freeze was one of those places where you order and pay before you get your food. So did he freak out before he even got the shake? Or did he pay for the shake and then freak out about the cost afterward? Either way, the guy’s a jackass and the cops were stupid to let him go back inside not once, but twice before he locked them out.
Banana milkshake? Yuck.
I have tried, enjoyed and survived this $6.00+ milkshake ...
Drink ‘like eating 68 bits of bacon” (2,000-CALORIE milkshake dubbed the worst drink in the US)

Atwater City Council selects new mayor pro tem
ATWATER — Councilman Craig Mooneyham picked up some extra responsibilities when he was named mayor pro tem during a meeting this week.
Mooneyham, who’s been on the council since 2010, was unanimously voted into the position. Whoever serves as mayor pro tem performs the tasks of the mayor when she’s absent.
Mooneyham said he’s going to work hard in his additional role.

“I’m truly honored to have the confidence of the mayor and the City Council to serve in that capacity,” he said.
Councilman Joe Rivero served as mayor pro tem before Mooneyham was voted in during Monday night’s meeting.
