Last night in Annapolis, Maryland a hearing was conducted on new sweeping gun control proposals for the state via SB 281, the Firearm Safety Act of 2013. State Senator Jamie Raskin (D), an anti-gun advocate, decided to ignore the pro-Second Amendment testimony that others were listening to and instead opted for a game of electronic chess. Just makes you proud doesn’t it citizens of Maryland?
The photo seen here was provided courtesy of the Maryland Shooters Facebook page.
Many commenters on the page were, shall we say, a bit upset at his lack of performance in the role as State Senator.
The first comment pretty much sums them all up, “Nice way to pay attention asshole…can we impeach him? for obvious dereliction of duty?”
Another carried others sentiments, “Very disrespectful to the citizens who were speaking. Shameful.”
One person even sent the picture to all the committee members and listed their emails to make sure they were aware that their colleague wasn’t exactly giving a “fair hearing” to the speaker.
While Raskin obviously wanted people to listen on the Governor’s gun safety package, which is not about safety at all but elimination of certain types of weapons, it doesn’t seem he was interested in paying attention to the other side.
Jamie Raskin, the low-info voters’ choice!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
This is an excerpt. There are more details in the original article.
Mayor Mumbles of Boston and his cronies want Vermont to have no weapons so that Mass citizens cannot buy in Vermont and bring into Mass.- and wants feds illegalize interstate transport of weapons =Commie bastards
Sara : someone could have edited his screen. just cause its on the internet, dosent make it true!
Dave : Yep just because it's on the Internet doesn't make it true. Like Obama's birth certificate.
Maryland is a farcical, one-party, inept, nanny-state. It would be funny except the left’s stupidity is so harmful to everyone, including the stranded few sane Americans, that live in that gulag.
Notice anything?
Yeah, you got it...

Sen. Richard Madaleno (D-Montgomery County), one of the lead sponsors and longtime supporters of the Gender Identity Non-Discrimination Act, known as HB 235, joined LGBT activists in expressing outrage over the Senates action.
Sen. C. Anthony Muse (D-Prince Georges County) asked whether the bill would have an impact on private citizens seeking to choose a roommate in a private home. Muse also asked whether the bills proposed ban on employment discrimination would force the Boy Scouts organization to hire a transgender person or prevent any employer from establishing a dress code.
Sen. Jamie Raskin (D-Montgomery County), one of the lead sponsors and supporters of the bill served as floor manager for what was expected to be a lengthy Senate floor debate. Raskin told Muse the bill would not cover people in private homes looking for roommates.

If youre looking for a roommate, you can discriminate on any basis you want, he said.
Raskin said the bill would cover the Boy Scouts organization for employment purposes, but said a transgender person seeking a job with the Boy Scouts would have to meet all other requirements for the job, including appropriate dress codes. He said the Boy Scouts, like any other employer, could not refuse to hire someone solely because of their status as a transgender person under the bills provisions.
The communist agenda "liberal and progressive" donks are incredibly predictable.
I’m in his friggin district.
His district is Montgomery County. Naryland’s most liberal county.
He is a professor of law at American university, and he may as well have been playing chess as we all know how he will vote anyway.
I would bet he lost.
