Major corporations that have donated to the Boy Scouts of America in recent years are largely remaining quiet ahead of the highly anticipated vote Wednesday on the organizations policy on homosexuals, but some have made it clear their money will go only to groups that dont discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.
In 2010, the latest year for which figures are available, the top donors to the Scouts, listed in descending order according to amount, were Intel, Emerson, Verizon, 3M, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Pfizer, Valero, UPS, U.S. Bank, Eli Lilly and Co., GE, Monsanto, Medtronic, PNC, Nationwide, Abbott, General Mills, Alcoa, Caterpillar, Illinois Tool Works, Allstate and Dow Chemical.
As WND reported last week, a major drop in corporate funding came last September after a gay-rights blogger for the Huffington Post published a collaborative report that named the donors and chastised them for violating their own policy of not discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation.
Since the September report, Intel, UPS and Merck are among the corporations that have declared they have stopping funding the BSA.
The homosexual-rights group Scouting for All lists some of the corporations that have refused to fund the BSAs national organization. They include IBM, Levi Strauss and Company, J.P. Morgan, American Airlines, Medtronic, Portland General Gas and Electric, Hewlett Packard, Textron, Fleet Bank, CVS/Pharmacy Stores and Carrier Corp.
At the time of the September report, shipping giant UPS, which gave $167,000 to the Scouts in 2010, insisted the gay policy would not impact its donations. But after a petition drive that month by another homosexual-rights group, Scouts for Equality, UPS changed its mind.

See post #3. Builders build. Wreckers can only wreck.
There are lots of supporters of the homo agenda but actual people who practice these behaviors is only about 2%-3% of the population
These corporations are denigrating the Right to Free Association.
I did not know Romney was one of their supporters. He did not deserve to be president.
scouting.org changed their site and no longer has the 1/28 press release indicating the subject is “under study”.
The meeting where this was to be discussed is today, any updates? or is this going silent because they know the results is going to be bad.
The two instigators should be forced to tender their resignations.
Just called CVS—
They offered NO Christmas Cards with their options for photo cards that you can upload your photon online etc...they were ALL Happy Holidays- NO option for Christmas Cards..NONE...I was going to call them and tell them that I was no longer going to be a customer due to this lack of an option, so I got mine at Walmart....but I never got around to calling them...I just did call them now...(1-888-607-4287— I waited for the options and said “agent” got one within 5 seconds!)
now I am off to call the other folks that will no longer get a penny from me...
thanks for posting this...
“Do you think they care who they are hurting? These people are totally focused on themselves and what THEY want. They don’t care about other people who might get hurt by this.”
Your post is so right on the mark. The homo’s are totally self serving. It’s the nature of their persuit in life. That of satisfying their addiction, and ego. Totally self serving, and anybody even hints about getting in the way of their self serving, their self satisfaction becomes as much an enemy as Obama to his opposition.
Anyone who doesn’t advocate against homosexuality is lying when they advocate for the children. That pretty much encompasses all the Democrats, and most of the RINOs.
Companies to add to a permanent boycott list, if they are not already on your list:
Intel, Emerson, Verizon, 3M, Bank of America (also involved with TARP), Wells Fargo (also involved with TARP), Pfizer, Valero, UPS, U.S. Bank (also involved with TARP), Eli Lilly and Co., GE, Monsanto, Medtronic, PNC (also involved with TARP), Nationwide, Abbott, General Mills, Alcoa, Caterpillar, Illinois Tool Works, Allstate, Dow Chemical, IBM, Levi Strauss and Company, J.P. Morgan (also involved with TARP), American Airlines, Medtronic, Portland General Gas and Electric, Hewlett Packard, Textron, Fleet Bank, CVS/Pharmacy Stores and Carrier Corp.
If you don’t have a permanent boycott list, why not? I’d suggest GM because of the shocking corruption of their bankruptcy, all the TARP banks, and all the above anti-Scouting companies (after verifying that they have dropped support for BSA). Every purchase should be considered a political act, and all of my purchases are.
I simply believe that the core principals of scouting will have to be radically changed in order to accommodate the homosexual agenda. That agenda is not consistent with my beliefs and I will not support or be a part of an organization that so compromises it's core values as to completely change its character and mission.
By definition scouts will have to be taught that homosexuality is an acceptable life style and is equivalent to heterosexual lifestyle in order to foster and preserve respect for homosexual leaders and scouts. This will be in conflict with the teachings of a large number of charter organizations (churches) that teach homosexuality is immoral. As such there will be incredible tension between charter organizations that allow homosexuals and those that don't. In the end, scouting will become just another organization with no moral compass, lost in the wilderness of diversity and political correctness.
Bump.
The list includes Portland General Gas and Electric. So if you live in Portland and you want electricity or gas, you have no choice but to support the homosexual agenda? Yeesh!
The BSA announced yesterday that the status quo will remani...... no queers
Point worth making these “people” have either directly or indirectly infiltrated every large corporation in the US. If you boycott them all you better be prepared to wear loin cloths and walk in the dark a lot.
To most of the men that own and run these corporations money is secondary. They are hardcore Globalists that hate traditional Western values. These corporations are not a money making enterprise. They are a means to an end. A way to consolidate power over certain sectors of society and to leverage that power into transforming society at large. Like pushing the homosexual agenda.
With that ‘logic’, not letting a grown man be out in the woods with a bunch of little girl scouts is sexism.
MODERATOR—— FR might want to consider keeping the request to call or Email the BSA at the top of one of your right hand columns and keep it locked (not sliding down) there for a few more days.. Thx
Their need to be included in existing organizations that reject homosexuality as acceptable behavior is to stop those organizations from labeling them “queer”. That way we can all get along as they molest our children.
Still, a queer by any other name is still queer.
The BSA will not simply survive, but will thrive without the corporate money and the BSA can continue to require that all Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are straight.
That’s the accepted figure. I don’t believe it.
If the Boy Scouts allow perverts in it will be the beginning of the end for Boy Scouts.
Look at what happened to Penn State.
And they did not have a policy to allow perverts in, the just failed to act when one was discovered. A couple of multi-million dollar lawsuits after a few kids are molested will do the Scouts in............
