I posted this because I have heard of these platforms from more 'reputable' sources, but without this level of detail on the contents.
This stuff is critical for us to know about on a go-forward basis, especially FR management and those who post a lot here.
No worries.....the CIA is on OUR side, just ask Ambassador Chris Stevens. Oh....wait....
Yet another reason not to participate in myFaceIsSoGreatbook or tw-I-tter.
Keep your Internet footprint as small as possible, friends.
The NSA Is Building the Countrys Biggest Spy Center (Watch What You Say)
The former NSA official held his thumb and forefinger close together:
We are that far from a turnkey totalitarian state.
For his part, Inglis simply engaged in a bit of double-talk, emphasizing the least threatening aspect of the center: Its a state-of-the-art facility designed to support the intelligence community in its mission to, in turn, enable and protect the nations cybersecurity. While cybersecurity will certainly be among the areas focused on in Bluffdale, what is collected, how its collected, and what is done with the material are far more important issues. Battling hackers makes for a nice coverits easy to explain, and who could be against it? Then the reporters turned to Hatch, who proudly described the center as a great tribute to Utah, then added, I cant tell you a lot about what theyre going to be doing, because its highly classified.

Um, Laz, we’ve known this for many, many years. There isn’t a byte transmitted on the Internet, microwave stations, land lines, laser links, phone cables, etc. that isn’t snooped on. The NSA/CIA have maintained listening posts worldwide and in the US for decades, law notwithstanding. The NSA hasn’t even been shy lately about their building of petabyte installations and the hiring untold numbers of “analysts” and engineers. Their press releases don’t seem to make the news but they even declassified the existence of the downlink and controls stations over 15 years ago.
Anyone in the intel community admitting anything but this subject might as well admit water is wet.
Thanks for posting this, Laz.
Like #18, I feel “frankly, I’d be more astonished if they weren’t.” But your point about unfair use in elections is good.
From the post: “an alerting mechanism that automatically sends out reports or notifications based a predefined trigger.”
. . . It has a full automatic, or semi-automatic, trigger? Sounds like Diane Fein-one-to-talk should block it. . .
I do not wish for harm or violence to anyone, even to those I seriously despise (liberals). I believe the Founding Fathers left to us devices with which to handle the problems we face in a non-violent manner.
Sadly, I do not think liberals wish for such a solution (beyond conservatives just bending over and taking it) and become more militant and intransigent the more we stand up to them on the issues (goaded on by Zero as they are). Push will come to shove.
And I would add FreeRepublic.com
There are a number of older posters from the Clinton days than could/can/will attest that the Secret Service does.
Ain’t messin’ with no Facebook no more...
Had a very strong feeling about this. I have a FB account which I use for work related purposes. There’s nothing on there other than a few friends sending me job leads and LOL Cheezeburgers to cheer me. (Unemployed).
About 4 years ago my father was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, he was in for 5 hours. We almost lost him. Spent the whole day with my mother and sister who were freaking out he would die, so when we left the hospital he was resting, crisis averted and I was exhausted. Posted a video on FB of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” when I got home, took a long bath and fell asleep on the couch.
An hour or so from posting I had a knock on my doorfrom two of my states finest. To this day I don’t know why they came to my door, none of my friends called on me. They said they were there because of my video. From that day on, I never post anything other than “Happy Birthday/Anniversary” on FB or Cheezeburgers.
I finally got off of it last year.
Hey CIA...FU and FUBO!
I think the most annoying part of government monitoring is that they can’t get it together enough so that just *one* agency does the monitoring, and shares with the others.
Instead, the NSA is monitoring everyone, and the CIA, and the FBI, and the who knows who else. But using an old land line telephone analogy, “There are so many spies listening to my phone, whoever I want to talk to and I have to shout at each other to be heard. And half the time, one of the spies tells us to talk softer, because he had his gain set too high.”
Defense contractors in the IT realm are bidding for software that allows one person to simultaneously manage 10 social networking profiles. The better to spy online with.
Let it be known that I love my country.....but I won’t back down.
So you think CBS's "Person Of Interest" is a technology dream, eh?
hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!! Dream on FRiend.
As Kid Shelleen posted here at Credit-reporting companies know more than they tell you - you think this FedGov has lesser methods? Remember, Germany controlled her populace with the help of IBM and its Hollerith Cards, and now computers are on steroids! Best wishes, All, for our miserable future. I'm sad for our children.
For example, I run an automobile forum and it constantly has spiders from google, bing and such to scan the content so as to put it into their cached database used for searches. I can pull up an administrator level screen and see which public page they are on and what they are trying to do. I am sure some of the “guests” on the website are unidentified spiders perhaps with spoofed IP addresses.
Now though, what this is describing is a spider entity that is probably camouflaged and faster plus has an ability to break security to get into restricted areas. If they want a state of the art query software, just get google to build them one. LOL!
Jeez, I wish the GOP would monitor FR.
They would learn something.
If you know enough to put pants on when you go out in public, you should know enough to keep your pants on when you into the public square named the Internet.
Whatever you say and do on the internet, is government and corporate property. They are not kind masters.
There was a article I read recently that claimed shrinks should get access to and read their paients’ social media acconts so they can see how the “patient” interacts with people outside the clinical setting. Employers are also reading social media records.
If you don’t have social media accounts, you are susposedly supect by government authorities investigating you. If you have social media accounts, you are nuts, given the reality of spying. Privacy does not exist. The government is aggressively paranoid and without legal or constitutional limits thanks to the patriot’s WAR ON TERROR. You - Americans - are the suspected terrorists.
