This stuff comes from a very 'conspiracy-minded' website, but even a blind pig finds an acorn or true.

I posted this because I have heard of these platforms from more 'reputable' sources, but without this level of detail on the contents.

This stuff is critical for us to know about on a go-forward basis, especially FR management and those who post a lot here.

The quotes are from a specification that was presented to various vendors from a Federal government agency.

Note the discussion of a 'Social Listening Platform'. Chilling.

This is also how the democrats win at elections. They are good at mining social media analytics. The “war on women” was declared when their data mining indicated Obama was losing support among women. Republicans need to join the Google age and get far better at this kind of thing.

They have a huge data center to power this monitoring. They can identify individuals by your IP and also your patterns. What you type, language used, and sites visited are unique enough to identify individuals.

Yep - FR is about the only place I post anything and I add the occasional “Not saying it should happen, just commenting that it is likely” type caveat. Some of the more forceful posters make me wonder who might be watching and what they might be planning. The Fed is constantly upgrading computer systems and adding massive amounts of storage just so it can gather and hold data that might be used against the People when deemed expedient.

Why shouldn’t they?

If you’re in charge of tracking Islamic terrorists, and the Islamic terrorists have a big web site or Facebook page boasting about their plans and successes - it’s your duty to look at it.

Remember that any thing posted anywhere is recorded and kept forever. Digital media doesn’t have a “just kidding” flag, or a “typo” or “That’s not what I meant” or a “I was drunk” indicator. It’s all there and is all taken seriously.

I’m against the concept of ‘big brother’ as much as anyone, but it would be negligent in this day and age for our intelligence agencies to NOT monitor such areas of the internet to some extent. Generally speaking of course.

? I am not surprised at all. I am certain FREE REPUBLIC is being monitored, too.

All of our identities are known or at least filed somewhere.

Data mining after collecting items from web sites is very easy today. You then collect the data in large databases. Google is the foundation of this technology. The NSA facilities in CO were designed to do this.

Color me shocked. No doubt the Yankee Doodle Stasi already have all our numbers.

And in a special, Quaker style shout out to those diligent agents of the State:

Intimate penetrations upon thee, pilgrim.

They must have a literal army of analysts.

Hell, my soccer mom friends are listening to Alex Jones these days and getting pretty radical.

Women I have known for a decade or more. We used to take our kids to the park together when they were 4, 5 years old, politics never came up. We go to luncheons now and suddenly it dominates conversation.

Granted, I have always been a political freak but when I see Stacy in her minvan suddenly buying gold and going to the range, I gotta admit it's a little surreal.
