The Obama administration has developed its own proposals for immigration reform that are more liberal than a separate bipartisan effort in the Senate, including a quicker path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, people with knowledge of the proposals said.

Well, duh.
I mean, Obama's never going to propose anything that has a prayer of passing, because he wants to just use it as a brush to paint the GOP as unreasonable obstructionists, while a more "moderate" proposal actually comes from the legislators.
So, to do that, he's going to take the intended proposal and veer hard left from it to ensure it won't pass, but that the intended bill looks more reasonable in comparison.
That's the fallacy of all the leftists' "compromise" rhetoric - when their proposal is blatantly radical, the "compromise" solution always looks so much better, and their leader can then say the other side isn't willing to compromise if they reject the still leftist "compromise"..
Kind of like proposing to drive over the cliff at 100 mph and complaining that we're not willing to compromise and accept 50 mph.
Of course Obama wants these illegals to get amnesty..its the only way to keep permanent control..11 million new DemoCRAP voters equals Obama as President for life..does the GOP think for one second that they will get ANY illegal alien votes by giving them citizenship..WAKE UP GOP they will NEVER vote for you
NO WAY any Democrat should want to secure the border and slow the influx of Democrat voters. This is all part of the Democrat master plan to get the takers to outnumber the makers, achieve and strengthen a Democrat voters majority, and enjoy perpetual Democrat party control.
Plus, this is really just the latest installment of illegal aliens suffrage. Whenever suffrage is on the table, anyone from either party who votes AGAINST it risks political suicide by alienating the target voting bloc now and forevermore, should it pass without their vote.
At times like this, I tend to agree with the term limits crowd. Career politicians are more apt to put their self-interest ahead of the nation.
....guess we shouldn’t have given our nation to these guys.
Oh well.
Go pay your taxes. The new neighbors are sure going to need the money. :)
Do the math, folks.
According to the Pew Hispanic Center:
First generation Hispanics vote 80% for the Democrat Party.
According to the Census Bureau:
Each new citizen “imports” 2.1 new family members within ten years.
Amnesty - in ANY form - means the political death of American Conservatism.
Why do I have to comply with Obamacare? It’s unpopular law that no one wants.
Why do I have to obey speed laws? They obviously don’t work.
This is their MO. place a pile of crap on a plate and a pile of crap between two slices of bread and ask people which one they will be eating today..
But elections have consequences.
I know it will be pushed upon us so I am writing my Congresscritters and asking for picture ID for voting...
Might as well get something out of this fiasco.
I haven’t seen anyone comment on the irony of our congresscritters falling all over themselves to grant amnesty to millions of criminals in this country while at the same time proposing to turn millions of law abiding patriotic gun owners into criminals . . . .
Great idea! I’m on with it.
Rubio is gone politically. He is now down there as a bottom feeder with McAmnesty and Limpy Gramnesty. He has’nt been there long enough to spit and he wants to flood this country with illiterate welfare grabbers who vote demorat. You cant make up how stupid that is. I wrote emails to my congressman and both Senators and warned them to stay away from this or face political defeat— real bad.I will start calling and faxing now— alot.
Amnesty won’t work, you’d be creating a permanent second-class of citizens who will never be socially accepted in the rest of society. When you have the kind of economic situation,we are in,it makes sense to cut support and entitlements to local illegals.Have them return home and let Americans take their jobs.
Immigration reform,to reward behavior that breaks the law means that people who follow the law whether they are born here or not.....get screwed.
Besides the Democrats will never give these people what they want or need,if they throw that kind of a bone their way, they will likely gouge them at the end of the bargain.A one way ticket to the lib plantation,is to no one’s benefit.
Rush and Levin both failed to challenge him on obvious flaws in his proposal. All I heard was the same tired old sloganeering & 'gee I hate illegal immigration as much as your listeners but we're a compassionate people' crap in a machine gun delivery that left little opportunity for response.
Most aggravating of all I do not believe, as both hosts said, that Rubio is a sincere politician hoping to solve an intractable problem. I believe his only goal is to further his poltical prospects from what he's proposing. I'm sick of hearing about Rubio as if he's some kind of second coming of RWR. He's a lightweight.
The freepers who gave us both Mel Martinez and Marco Rubio in FL will find another Cuban-American "true conservative" to replace him in the Senate, who they swear up and down is "anti-illegal immigration". We will be told that we need to "get behind" the candidate the moment they announce, because anyone else who runs in the primary is a "RINO" Anyone who tries to research the candidate's record and questions whether their career matches their rhetoric will be shouted down and accused of disliking the candidate because they are "anti-hispanic". Jeb Bush and multiple tea party leaders will get behind the "true conservative" and they will win the race handily, then show their true colors after taking office.
Been the M.O. for a lot of Florida freepers for the past decade.
Just what America needs right now : a flood of Islamic immigrants on the fast track to entitlements
I think Obama's plan is to open the floodgates to Islam
Yeah No Kidding.
We are so screwed.
