Obama to announce his immigration reform plan, said to be more liberal than Senate effort

Well, duh.

I mean, Obama's never going to propose anything that has a prayer of passing, because he wants to just use it as a brush to paint the GOP as unreasonable obstructionists, while a more "moderate" proposal actually comes from the legislators.

So, to do that, he's going to take the intended proposal and veer hard left from it to ensure it won't pass, but that the intended bill looks more reasonable in comparison.

That's the fallacy of all the leftists' "compromise" rhetoric - when their proposal is blatantly radical, the "compromise" solution always looks so much better, and their leader can then say the other side isn't willing to compromise if they reject the still leftist "compromise"..

Kind of like proposing to drive over the cliff at 100 mph and complaining that we're not willing to compromise and accept 50 mph.
