I served before all this turd poking crap but have pals still serving. I know of not one combat unit guy who wants these cross dressers and turd pokers . At an event last weekend I met another soldier who has just got back from Afghanistan and I asked him about this . He told me he and many others are leaving because of this and that right after don’t ask was overturned an officer came into the PX and was wearing a dress. Obviously there were looks laughter and comments along with much disgust . I said how come no one said anything and he replied many want to kick the crap out of him as he was embarrasing the unit in front of other armies there. He said no one could though because they would now end in jail. He also said he knows of no one respecting this officer and moral is really low over there. He and I talked for a long time and also said women in combat roles was wrong and the public now has a false view if the militRy and the military has becalmed a joke under this clown. This crap has got to stop and be overturned and social isues need to be raised and defended because the left have advanced their agenda due to many cowards on our side.
Very disappointing news. If this policy is adopted, I’ll probably let my older teenaged sons make their own decision on whether or not to drop out. But the youngest has been wanting to join the Boy Scouts... What to do? I’ll have to look for another organization for him to join.
I saw several posts about how the BSA needs to be like the Episcopal Church! I suppose that includes plummeting membership and no money except from suing traditionalist dissidents.
Thanks be to God I got my family out of TEC, but I am sad that it looks like I will have no choice but to resign as an assistant scoutmaster and get my son out of Scouting as well. He really wanted to be an Eagle, like I am.

The career scouters at BSA headquarters probably saw that their jobs were in danger, and are deciding in favor of income preservation over principle.
Anyway, he seemed to think that it was the beginning of the end of the BSA, and that many units or sponsoring organizations would decide at this point that they no longer wanted to affiliate themselves with the national BSA organization.

I’m hoping that now the leftist revolutionaries are taking their masks off and their demands and acts of abominable treason will become more and more outrageous, that more people will realize that they have nothing to lose by speaking up and acting on their principles.

Quite a history, thanks. As reflected in the rest of society, the issue of the safety of young males in the presence of repressed or not repressed homosexuals (who are really also are pedophiles, boys only).
The part in the history of LBP about his interest in seeing the photos of nude male students, recalled to me why these photos were taken in those days. Students had photos made of them for medical evaluation of range of motion of the limbs, to assess spinal alignment (detect scoliosis) and polio development. This was done in males and females, and was part of medical training in orthopedics and pediatrics, and a standard of medical practice. Was done in the US from the 1880’s and recent scandal as to where the photos ended up.

Does seem odd an interest in the male photos only. From a time period of emphasis on classical education (Greek/Roman classicism) then the human form was glorified (not unlike the nordic/aryan propaganda of the nazis in film and photo) but also provided cover for the prurient.
It has indeed been a problem for scouting, and with girl scouting as well. What is most irritating is the “dumbing down” demanding agenda that this is normal— when it isn’t, even as they try to make some moral equivalence to rabid heterosexuality. Point missed is that both are wrong in childhood development, and the innocent are preyed upon. As a student of history, obviously cultural norms were very different in ancient Greece (and arguably led to the downfall of Greece and the Roman empire). Strange world we have to deal with to raise our children, and the statists are not “moral” at all.

BSA may have dodged a bullet today. The months running up to the next annual National business meeting over May 22-24 at the Gaylord Texan Hotel in Grapevine, TX, should be interesting to say the least.
Yep, VA but lived a lot of other places, and worked with Brock when on an Executive Council (community based council of business leaders). Yes the upcoming meeting will be interesting. The real message to BSA needs to be— stop taking the money from corporatists who subscribe to the greater agenda that compromises Boy Scout values as originally envisioned. It is the incoming leaders from these outfits that think they will change the organization to their agenda (one wonders what their predilection is)- they need to be voted OUT, removed, contrary to the charter. Period.
It is a private organization, and should resist the “expansionist” agenda that requires more and more donations with strings. Tell verizon, et al to pound sand, and go private donation only— no united way, nothing like that— accept corporate that has no strings. There are enough legacy Scouts to support this, including Scouts who may have suffered assault. It would mean a smaller leaner organization which true Americans would want their children involved with for ALL the correct reasons, and with the expectation their child would not be compromised.
Just realized reading over the link, that somewhere in the Smithsonian is a photo of Wellesley freshwoman Hillary Clinton (but I bet not). Would be interesting from the perspective of “what in the hell did bill see in her?” Cause later a manlier woman was her look, and one unfortunate misguided child.
That all is personal, not political, but when trying to figure out why someone is such a failure (despite all dem PR efforts to tell us how great she is)- it could complete the picture. sad really, except it got an ambassador killed (him notably homo, too).
