What caught my eye were pages 23 to 118, "APPENDIX A – FIREARMS EXEMPTED BY THE ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN OF 2013"
Listed are lever action guns, side-by-side shotguns, bolt action .22s.
If this so-called assault weapon ban states that it exempts all bolt action, lever action, and pump action rifles/shotguns (page 14 lines 17-20,) then why are they listing specific makes and models of bolt action, lever action and pump action rifles/shotguns that are exempt?
Because they will eventually ban all guns except for that list.
Anyone that complies with this communist dictate is a outright fool. A pretty good armed resistance appears to be forming in NY against that communist governor and his joke for a ban. Nationwide? it would be an all-out war. But hey, WTH, since they’ll now all be illegal anyway, just convert em to full-auto, put silencers on em, cut em short, etc. and go have some fun at the range.

No, I think it will be your medical insurance. In Obama’s healthcare bill, it says if you smoke, your insurance company can double the amount you have to pay for that insurance. It gave examples, and a 50 something man would pay over an extra $5,000 a yr. Who can afford that? People stop smoking in order to have insurance.
For guns it could go down like this: Guns are a health hazard and if you have one, your insurance company will charge you double for medical insurance. That means multiple thousands extra a year. Do you give up your guns to afford medical insurance?
Hussein has the authority to write rules/regulations for medical insurance right now and he could do that and get your guns that way. He is the devil incarnate.
Everyone I know has a pump action shotgun for home defense. Semi autos can let you down.
Obama has sold at least 69 million firearms in the terrible four years he has been in power - and I'll bet that number will rise even fasted between now and the end of this phase of subverting the Constitution. That's certainly not enough to balance the damage and evil he has inflicted on our country, but at least one item of good has come from this nightmare.

There was an extremely interesting display of shooting by a female weapons expert on Hannity last week. She has won various awards for her marksmanship. Anyway, she demonstrated the holes in targets, created by firing an AR-15, revolvers and semi-auto pistols, up thru shotgun slugs and shells. The .223 was a tiny hole. The shotgun slug created a huge hole, and a 12 gauge shot shell obliterated the target. She said anti-gun people are needlessly targetting the AR-15 type weapons, but personally she would fear the shotgun more than the others. Every citizen hearing the B.S. from Feinstein and others idiots needs to see a demonstration of how small the caliber actually is.
So with this bill, I'll only be able to use my shotgun once (and it'll be taken from me). I have a pistol grip and a telescoping stock, easy to adjust between me and my wife for good fit. Makes it illegal, sigh! We're all going to be criminals, because we're not giving them up.

I note that the Anschutz 2013 and the CZ 455 bolt action 22LR rifles are not on the list since they are relatively new models. That tells me this list was compiled a number of years ago. I would bet the list was made in 2008 and now dusted off for introduction at the start of Obama's second term.
Guns are tools. Shotguns are good for hunting and home defense. Pistols are good for personal defense. Semi-automatic rifles are good for anti-tyranny.

That strikes a chord...Recently a couple of these incidents in the US have happened with some government agency just around the corner somewhere coincidentally gaming/training on the exact scenerio that occurs...the same as the London bus bombings...
This stupid bill won’t get through the Senate, much less the House. Its purpose is to distract from the debt limit fight.
Obama’s treasury department is so bent on theft and corruption that they refuse to estimate how much debt will be owed in three months, so a limited debt ceiling hike can not be passed. Rather the House will pass an unlimited debt ceiling hike that runs out ‘by date certain’. That lets the regime run up debts without limit for three months. Then they will refuse to report how much debt there is, and so the debt limit won’t matter.

I’m so glad I stocked up and ‘got mine’ 3 - 4 years ago. Watching this ‘rat race’ with all shelves being picked clean saddens me in a way....but it somewhat encouraging in another. Just hate seeing the prices on everything going into orbit.
I can’t wait until this bullshit fails to pass through Congress, and everyone calms down! (I doubt the pricing on ‘black rifles’ and mags will ever return to the prices they were at a year ago)
Detroit is coming back. They have hit bottom and are on the way back up.
It is a Mossberg. A Mossberg 590, with heat shield. The stock was too long for her, so I replaced it with a telescoping stock that has a pistol grip. Easy to adjust to different people. So now it’ll be in violation of the laws, because it has several combined features of a “military” weapon. Despite the fact it fires the same way as shotguns without the “special” features. Damn politicians.
I agree, they’ll use that approach and it WILL work on all but the hard cases. Taking over insurance is the quickest way to take over. Switch “Liberty” for “Liability” as the operative word in America.
And sadly, I believe people will accept it. Nobody wants to make any sacrifices, though many bloviate about armed resistance (the odds of an opportunity arising being infinitesimally low).
In Revolutionary days, a good percentage of the people prized liberty enough to risk all. Today, tell the average citizen he might have to pay more for mandatory services that used to be optional, and he becomes a quivering mass of jelly, defenseless, impotent, cowardly.
Hussein is smart and he knows he can't walk in and get your guns. But, he can make it so you will give them up.
Remember, one of his executive actions is to tell doctors they can ask you if you have a gun at home and if you have children there or older people there, and the doctors are supposed to report that. Then, Hussein knows you have guns and it's dangerous with those children and/or old people there and your medical insurance goes double in payment - or give up the guns.
He has already put in his healthplan to start next year, that if you smoke, your insurance cost will double. He has the power to write insurance regulations and he's got the whole country in his hand.
When I read about the cigarette smoking and already knew doctors were supposed to ask about guns, I knew he would do it this way and get away with it.
