Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel are parting ways, according to a report in Real Clear Politics. After three years as a paid contributor for the channel, FNC and the former Republican vice presidential nominee have decided to cut ties.

A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics that it was the governor’s decision not to renew their contract.

*“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.”

Radio, or a show on Blaze, or to some speakers bureau are logical possibilities for the politically inclined, for whom want independence is a priority. Maybe something entirely different that improves her image beyond her base.

What happened to the residence in Phoenix, AZ. Is Bristol residing there still? Just wondering if that location means anything now. Perhaps a springboard, for convenience sake, to something new.

Without media attention, she is not going to have any voice.

Not to fret. It was her decision to decline the offered contract. Not going to have any voice? Are you sure you're referring to the Sarah H. Palin of Alaska?

I may be one of the few, I agree with Palin on lots but when she quit as Gov. due to the “press” she quite being a viable candidate to me.

She can be a leader in many ways but not a candidate.

you may all now yell and flame me but, if you cant stand the attack press of ALASKA I have doubts about how you will fair in DC. (maybe as Senator as the one from there just went stupider)

"Not surprised. Fox News is pretty much has become center-left."

Conservatives with more than two active brain cells left FoxNews in 2007, when they swung to The Mulatto Messiah and the Left.

Palin is not going to be on the same panel as Dennis Kookcinich (a new Hire at FN), and she sees what we all have seen in the State-Run-Media, including FN.

The contract was probably for less. This is no victory for Palin. Even though there are those trying to pretend it is.

Palin has been out of the loop a long time now.

She’s going to run for president in ‘16.

Fox news just wants to stick with Ted Baxter and Juan Williams types.

If you're trying to intimate that FNC did not want her back and had already spent her salary on someone else's contract, you may be correct. But it isn't yours or my business, is it?

“...of what they think is Sarah Palin’s dead career...”

Palin doesn’t look at politics/elective office / media comentary as a career. W’d all be better off if our elective office holders took the attitude of the citizen lawmaker.....

Well good for her. I can't stand even having the MSM networks on in my house, their liberal whining leftist propaganda is just a nerve grating assault on my common sense. The MSM is just a dog and pony show for the “low information” knuckle draggers and bottom feeders out there anyhow. Hopefully, Mrs. Palin will utilize here new found free time in the pursuit of more productive political endeavors.

The question is, how much longer will Gore, with his newly-acquired hundreds of millions, buy THEM and offer THEM a slot?
