In her first testimony since the Benghazi attack, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will participate in a full day of hearings Wednesday about U.S. diplomatic security and the American mission in Libya.
Sec. Clinton will appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the morning followed by an afternoon testimony to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. In December, the State Department's highest ranking foreign service officers, William Burns and Thomas Nides, testified before Congressional lawmakers in the Secretary's place. They discussed a new report by an independent panel assessing the Benghazi attack.
Deputy Sec. Nides put several recommendations from a report on the attack into effect before the end of 2012. Implementing the rest, Nides said, will be underway by the time the next Secretary of State takes office. Three State Department officials have resigned since the report was released.
The two officials were substituting for Secretary Clinton, who was recovering from a concussion she suffered after fainting due to dehydration from a stomach virus.
Four Americans were killed in that attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. Congress is investigating whether the State Department denied a request for extra security at that outpost earlier in the year and what actions were taken in the moments after the attack began.
What a dog and pony show… Clinton’s fake ignorance to Rand Paul’s question of weapon transfers out of Libya clearly illustrates this is what the Benghazi deal was all about.
I’ve read/heard much of the same, and it sounds pretty damn credible to me when you take into account the treasonous monsters running the show.

I watched the beginning of the hearing on CSPAN. She was NOT sworn in.

I'm so completely cynical after the recent election... I think Hillary will come off these Benghazi smelling like a rose - as usual.
Looking ahead, I think regardless of who the GOP runs in 2016 Hillary will be our next President. I know too many Independent women (and even a few Republican women) who just can't wait for Hillary to be our first female President. These women tend to be somewhat conservative overall, but just mention Hillary, and they get all dewey-eyed. They don't listen to me when I say she will continue the same leftist, damaging policies that Obama (and every other democRAT) has put in place. They "love" Hillary and feel sorry for her. I don't get it.
The clips that WTIC 1080 AM radio (Hartford, CT) chose to run during their 12 noon news break: Hillary saying "I take full responsibility..." and Hillary tearing up when talking about how she greeted the family members at the funeral of Amb. Chris Stevens and the others. *barf*
I'm sorry to be such a downer, but I think we're screwed. Hillary will get off scot-free from Benghazi-gate, and will be elected president in 2016.
Hmmm, checking a news-aggregate site only Daily Beast and HuffPost say she was under oath.
Yet before the hearing many said she would be.

Rush Limbaugh agrees with you. He just said Hillary received a “get out of jail free card” today. Everything has been tidied up and she’s all set for a run at the presidency in 2016. It’s simply disgusting.
She was angry. The question is whether she’ll get angry enough at being hung out to dry by Bambi that she’ll turn on him.
I think not, personally, because she has spent her life covering up, one way or another, for powerful men who have seen her usefulness and taken her on, starting with her husband. Bambi is just the latest one.
I paid very close attention at the beginning of the hearing to see if she would be placed under oath or not. She came into the room, did some glad-handing with members of the committee, and sat down at the table. The chairman then called the committee to order. He then gave his opening remarks, followed by the minority opening remarks, followed by Hillary’s opening remarks. Then questioning began. I was yelling at the tv, “Why is she not under oath?”
Yes, I just heard that. I wrote my comments in #370 before I heard what Rush was saying...
It's so damn obvious to me what's going on, and there's already a ton of enthusiasm (among women voters) across the U.S. to get Hillary into the White House in 2016. Remember, women make up slightly more than half of the electorate, and MANY women - for whatever mysterious reason - absolutely worship the ground Hillary walks on...
Rush is really coming down on this now...............
