This brings me to this concept of raising the debt ceiling for three months so they can come up with a budget.
Either the spineless pubs want to extend the debt ceiling but want to look tough about it.
OR...
Well the pubs could be SERIOUS about it.
If so, they will use that three months to get in public and grouse about the lack of budget.
ALL of them will mention the lack of budget EVERY time they are interviewed, they will mention that all Mayors of even the smallest towns must have a budget, that every Governor must pass a budget.
We shall see.

I think a divorce is in our future as the best way to handle it.
Too many times I've heard politicians say they'll fight for you, or fight for this, or fight for that... Well who are they fighting? We really need to understand that to the democrats, driveby media (same) and Obama, they are fighting us.
Despite they're saying they're fighting the gun LOBBY, they really mean they are fighting gun OWNERS.
And on and on...
We are becoming two peoples. Neither can or even should “defeat” the other. We should be allowed to go our separate ways.
As an Alabamian, I'm reluctant to say secede. I went to a football game in Montgomery yesterday, the Raycom Collegiate All Star Classic. I drove by the First Confederate White House, a historical landmark here. I started thinking of the disaster that was the Civil War, how slavery was wrong, and how while so many from here fought for Southern freedom, I wished that slavery was never an issue. Maybe, just maybe, we can have a true free republic again but I pray to the Almighty it will not be bloody and we're allowed to simply go our separate ways.

Ironically I am within 6 mos of finishing a novel about the secession of Texas and what happens when you have a free market society take over. It is a pretty good story.

I think we can assume that the Marxist state here in America will collapse in a manner resembling the Marxist collapses of the 20th century.
For one thing, the elitist structure just becomes a tightening noose around its own neck, purging more and more of its own members as the pie gets smaller. Support eventually erodes as the numbers are such that the tank commanders sent to the breakaway parliament are rather easily persuaded to turn their cannons around and point them at the ruling establishment.
For another, sheer decadence and particularly moral decay inside the primary institutions gives rise to legacy moral causes and structures, aka Christianity. When Gdansk was a labor-only movement it was one thing; when it became a Christian movement too, that was ballgame.
Also, the sheer impossibility of a centrally planned economy takes it toll. Look for black markets to begin to emerge here—then you’ll know the writing is on the wall. You already see education and media going underground in a post-modern sense. From home-schooling to log-on universities to conservative news outlets online, you see the new black market already taking shape and crimping the Marxist establishment at Harvard or CBS or the New York Times. Think of a place like FR as the sound of Solzenhitsyn tapping on the wall of his gulag cell to spread the word. I’m expecting black market health care arrangements of some sort to counter Obamacare. Why not? They crushed one kulak and yet another rose up elsewhere.
This communism thing fails. Always has, always will.
Same is true in Ohio.
Former US Senator Mike DeWine is doing good things as Attorney General, and of course Governor John Kasich has another 6 years (term limits) to keep up his Gov. Walker Wisconsin typoe efforts. The maybe DeWine will step in to keep it rolling.
