NEW ORLEANS Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been indicted on 21 corruption charges including wire fraud, bribery and money laundering.
The charges announced Friday come from a City Hall corruption investigation that already has resulted in guilty pleas by two former city officials and two businessmen.

So surprised.
What was it Captain Rainault said in Casablanca after Rick’s Cafe was closed for allowing gambling?
Yep, he’s overdue.
Well, THIS comes as a shock. So, what's for lunch?

He’s only being charged because he’s “Chocolate”.
Chocolate Town trying to clean up their act?
Good try. He’ll be given a Presidential Pardon, then he’ll be appointed the White House Ethics Czar.
I’ll be surprised if the vermin ever does ten minutes’ worth of jail time. The one thing you can always count on is representatives of the Democratic [sic] party look after one another.
“LOL”
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy!
This is the second article I read about Nagin's indictment and both do not mention his party affiliation. Hmmmm...wonder why?
Another 'Rat mayor ... no surprise. Nagin was mayor during Katrina ... the liberal media fawned all over him ... this is the kind of crap Bush had to put up with ... a corrupt mayor, a ditsy female 'Rat governor ... and he took the hit. Katrina was Bush's fault.
Sweetness!!!!!! Hope it sticks and he goes to jail!
Oh noes!!!! Puhleeze say it ain’t so Chocolate City Ray!

Another Dirty Democrat, how surprising.
You mean the mayor of Chocolate City got arrested? LOL
"Like they looked after me?"
AP just can’t bring themselves to print Democrat in these cases but look out if it’s a Repub.
I’m not so sure it’s still a Chocolate City as ole Ray exclaimed.....Seems like I recently (last two years) seen more than one Louisiana License tag on cars belonging to refugees from there that never left. I’m sure Texas and other surrounding states are still benefited with their presence too.
Great news! He is headed for Chocolate City alright—the nearest penitentiary.
Very likely true but still the funniest thing I've read in a long time! Somehow there is a different "flavor" to corruption in DC verses The Big Easy. DC corruption is evil and threatening. New Orleans (naorlns) is down home, just a couple a' good old boys trying ta' get buy, don't ya know...
Regards,
GtG
No way! Well, actually, no surprise.
Then Congressman Jackson.
Now this.
I am running out of heroes.
Get out the picture of the submerged school buses! How about GROSS INCOMPETENCE!? How about playing with the lives of citizens to score political points!?
Excellent! :)
Hey Nelson, the Rats just took another one in the...
BOOSH!!!
I was there just a couple of weeks ago and it's become a lot nicer than pre-Katrina, albeit at the expense of Holder's people now populating Texas in greater numbers. It's not just the Quarter -- even Canal Street and the CBD are less thuggish nowadays.
Prior to this president there was a difference. Now the In Your Face Corruption is pretty universal.
The poorer sections of town were more flood prone, plus once the leechs tapped into a new vein they didn’t want to leave. It wasn’t only Texas, Massachusetts got a handful of them, who were expressing delight at the warm welcome they got here. Go home, now, please.
at least we still have Lance Stretchpants.
Oh noooooooo’s not the chocolate city mayor? lol
Freezer check.
Bush's Fault!!!!!!
In a way, I’m glad to hear it has improved. I have mixed feelings about whether the areas in Texas, Georgia and elsewhere can accomodate their refugees on a permanent basis. We’re already inundated to the point we’ll all be speaking Mexican here in Georgia within 15 years.
Finally!
Rush just said his party affiliation is NOT mentioned in the AP article.
Yeh, Houston is a lot more chocolate these days.

one good tip is to use waterproof bags to carry your bribe loot.
another is the giant plastic tubs make great floatation devices or Heineken transport systems.
Justice would be a cellmate poking around in him for some chocolate bon bons.
We noticed that AP didn’t mention Nagin’s political party.
LOL! Funniest post of the day.
a black politician lie, cheat, and steal? Tell me it isn’t so. I though the Democrats ridded their party of them long ago...Oh yeah forgot about THAT guy...;)
