So many people I know are on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. The list will be long.

That’s what I did. Sat there with my .357 S&W revolver right there in my purse and gave him my best Southern Lady impression. “Why of course not doctor, guns are dangerous”. Found me a new doc asap.
I can see it now: My doctor asks me if I’ve ever thought about hurting anybody with my gun and I give him a long stare, then I say ‘Only smart-assed doctors who ask too many questions about stuff that isn’t any of their damned business.’
I wonder how many lists that would ut me on.

Jim, I pray that what you say is true. I love my MD because back in Klinton’s time they were trying to make Dr’s ask if there was firearms in the home. He elected not to do it. PS he also knew I was an active competitive pistol shooter. I’ve been part of several gun forums and saw posts by LEA’s saying they’d never.... But they will if it means their pay or retirement. I will never forget seeing a group of CHP helping out in New Orleans after the hurricane. Loading an elderly lady into the back of a freaking dump truck along with her dog because she told them all she needed was water and that she could protect herself because she had a pistol. They stormed her took her down and took the gun away then carried her in the back of the dump truck.I hope my Dr maintains his humanity if it gets worse. I have more but it just makes my heart hurt to see what this country has become.
