I had to come on to FR and post the following discussion that just took place at lunch that I had with a law enforcement agent that I am currently working with and a general practitioner who happen to be dining at a booth next to ours.
The television was on as the President was giving his speech about his 23 executive orders. When the discussion arrived about mental health and giving up personal information under the HIPPA act.
The physician stated that if Americans read about Obamacare a year ago they would have seen that the foundation was clearly there for this to be implemented anyway.
He said the bottom line is, doctors have been made cops or "agents" now for the government and are basically ratting out all kinds of information to them and other agencies that are covered under the umbrella of information access that Obamacare grants.
His one example was this:
If you have a history of anxiety attacks...the physician can now recommend to homeland security and the reporting agencies that receive the reports of "YOUR WELL BEING" on whether or not you should possess a weapon or not in your home. If a history of panic, depression, or bi-polar disorders exist in the HOUSEHOLD...your house will be checked off as a home that CAN NOT OR SHOULD NOT OWN A FIRE ARM.
Did you read that? Read it again.
The doctor and officer said this was another way of Obama and the government showing who were the weak links in society and leave them without the ability to defend themselves or have a voice other than to be medicated and monitored by the federal government as well and that routine checks can be made by law enforcement officers via a warrant operation set up by ATF to sweep your home for weapons.
There is so much more to go on here but I had to get this posted on what these 2 professionals were speaking about this afternoon...this is so much worse than anyone is even talking about.
My have has had anxiety problems and panic attacks around large groups of people. I guess now I cannot have guns. Where do I turn them in at?
The thing that’s so crazy about shrinks, is that there is a high percentage of shrinks, that go to other shrinks for their own problems.
How can we allow these people to be in any position to label others mentally unfit, when they themselves in large numbers, are themselves suffering such mental problems that THEY require going to a shrink for help?
I’m seeing a shrink right now, my insurance company required it before I have surgery.
That young woman is bat-sh*t crazy and I have no idea of how she got her job.
After the first 10 minutes I knew to play the game to get it over with asap, she seems the type who would love to have this power over her patients. No way in hell I would admit to owning firearms to her, especially now.

What bothers me most is those who serve are given weapons, taught to use them and risk their lives for this country. Some get PTSD from the experience.
Now the same gov’t that sent them to war wants to take away their guns...because they may have PTSD.

Most doctors do what they do because they like helping people in their field and they like the lifestyle it provides.
Obamacare negates both of those reasons.
I would venture to say that the majority don't want to be glorified government drudges.
We are marching quickly in this very direction or outcome. God help us. We must get our self in order with God, sincerely repent, stay prayed up and obey His commandments.

It’s all a game to them. It’s very easy to game the system if you know how it’s rigged. I knew I had a problem with drinking, it was a remnant of my college years, and I knew if I started going to AA, I could stop listening to her double-speaking idiocy.

"Can" swiftly translates into "must". Guaranteed, the next time there is a shooting, they will check if the shooter was under care for anxiety, depression, or other mental issue. If the doctor failed to report, then the doctor will be the target of lawsuits.
At that point, doctors' insurance companies will REQUIRE that they report, as a condition of liability insurance.
You know the liberal doctors are going to be asking those types of questions. Conservatives beware of these types of questions. Liberals ... it is your duty to answer these questions.
you know, As sick as it seems, I suspected that soemthign was goign on a few years ago when everytime I, and family members and friends went to the health clinics for checkups, the docs seemed to be pushing anti-depressents for everythign form sleep apnea, to twitchign muscles to toe fungus (under the idie that out of whack seratonine levels can ‘cause all sorts of physical probems’ as told us by the docs)
I now beleive that thsi administration has been planning this for al ong time now- and I was really suspicious when one of the healthcare physicians told me they were leaving to go to work on a massive healthcare database project beign issued by the state- then later, out of the clear blue, a health care pohysician caught me compeltely off guard by asking ‘Do you have a gun i nthe house’ And liek a dummy I ‘couldn’t lie’ so I said ‘yes’ (I immediately KNEW I shoudl have told them to take hteir question and stuff it where the sun doesn’t shine without answerign hte question) (Folks, Be aware, that you WILL be asked thsi question- usually preceeded by the question “Have you ever thought abotu hurtign yourself or anyoen else”- These docs have apaprentrly been ordere3d to collect thsi kind of info for use AGAINST Us- and if you answered yes to either of htese questions, you will no longer be able to own a gun if you were prescribed and accepted anti-depressents
I wodnered why they kept tryign to push dangerous druugs on me,. family and firends for seemingly benign conditions liek muscvle twitches and such- and now it has becoem clear- thsi was in the planning a long time ago- so that now there is a national database showing everyoen that was ever on anti-depre4ssents, anti-psychotic druugs, anti-anxiety drugs etc etc etc-
We are livign in a VERY bad tiem in history- asnd thigns are only goign to get worse as the left has discovered that they can now ignore the constitution (the supreme court sure as hell isn’t goign to make them obey it) and get away with it scott free, or work aroudn it by takign away the rights via executiove order ‘for safety reasons’ because hte person ‘may at soem point snap’ Even when htere’s NO clear evidence to suggest that. Folks, We are now livign under tyrants i nthsi country who no longer consider it a privilege to SERVE US, but who now feel we shoudl feel privileged BEING IN SERVITUDE TO them
Great point. he says he wants to make sure that people with mental problems don’t have guns while at the same time making many people who need to see a shrink not go see one. So how will he make sure these people don’t have guns if they don’t know who these people are?
Just like saying every company that employs 30 or more people must provide insurance. It never entered their minds that companies would simply cut the work force to part time. They simply can’t think.
I forgot to mention that the physician also stated that there were “automatic qualifiers” for people who are already on certain anti-psychotic and anti-depression drugs. If someone is in a house and has schizophrenia..it’s probably not the best idea to own guns as it is in the house but that if a person is under your roof and is under care for these mental illnesses and is under meds for it? No guns for you or anyone at that address.
This is worrisome.
OK, so this means if my doctor asks me if I have guns in my house, I will lie to my doctor, and change doctors.
Then the guy responds to the doctor “I’m going to get a gun and I.....”.
Great. My Wife has been treated for depression off and on since she was a kid. Been ok the last ten years or so...
This will not end well.
