Amazing. Who would have expected France, of all places, to be the country to make a massive stand against the tide of moral degeneracy that has so weakened what’s left of Western civilization?

Wow. I seriously admire France for doing this.
If Americans had done this as soon the inmates started pushing their dysfunctional agenda here, we wouldn't have all those nut cases walking our streets today.
Kudos, France. Good job!

The streets were clogged with people bearing signs and wearing shirts with symbols of the traditional family. Here we have an unprecedented declaration of mass resistance to homosexual rights

Are there only "homosexual rights"? Do none of the rest of us have "rights". I am a traditionalist where marriage is concerned. Do I have no rights?

Marriage has never be extended to people in same-sex relationships. But somehow, the media always puts this subject in the light of homosexuals not having "rights". They have NEVER been able to marry, ever! They are asking for a "right" that they have never had, in any society on Earth.

I am so tired of these people. I used to not care what they did; but, they had to keep shoving their stuff into my face and I had to make a decision on how I felt about stuff that I would prefer to not think about at all. Well, after thinking about it; I've decided that these are not very nice people, they are bullies, and I don't like them. Good job, gay activists.

This would be a very large number in the US but in a country much smaller than the States it is a MASSIVE showing.

Good for France. Very, very heartening.

most of our rights are extensions of our natural rights that are extensions of our nature as humans

marriage is not simply a tradition, it extends from the natural fact that only a man and a woman can together, naturally, produce a child, and as a consequence of that natural fact the naturally best place for the raising of children is with a child’s natural mother and father

as a civilization can we allow legal alternatives in the raising of children?

yes we can and we do - we allow adoptions and we even allow modern means of assisting conception, and we admit that when a parent is lost or when a marriage fails, a single parent can sometimes do a good job of raising a child/the children

does any of that mean that we must, by some sort of “right” allow ANY exceptions to the natural ideal that we are asked to make?

NO; there is no NATURAL human or civil right to the raising of children that does not reflect the nature of the human child - conceived by one man and one woman.

A very prominent British actor was interviewed on the BBC today. He’s “gay”. Part of the interview included the host asking him about the public attacks against him because of his views about “gay marriage” (he’s not for it) and “gays” adopting children (the worst place for a child in his view). There is no tolerance for honesty among Liberals.

God is in our midst, working goodness through those of us who open our hearts to understand his will. God seems to work from where one would least expect it, it is how he shows those with heart and intellectual capacity that he is behind these wonderful works...
