Patriotic Group To Build Armed 'Defensible' Neighborhood Fortress
CNS News ^ | 12th January 2013 | Gregory Gwyn-Williams, Jr.

A group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty.

The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who "voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty."

According to the Citadel website, Rightful Liberty means that "neighbors keep their noses out of other neighbors' business, that neighbors live and let live."

Citadel explains that residents in the community will be bound by the following:

•Patriotism

•Pride in American Exceptionalism

•Our proud history of Liberty as defined by our Founding Fathers, and

•Physical preparedness to survive and prevail in the face of natural catastrophes --such as Hurricanes Sandy or Katrina -- or man-made catastrophes such as a power grid failure or economic collapse.

Residents should also agree that being "prepared for the emergencies of life and being proficient with the American icon of Liberty -- the Rifle -- are prudent measures."

Some of the benefits of the Citadel community include a safe, well-prepared, patriotic community where children will be educated in school, not indoctrinated.

The community will be protected by a perimeter wall that will be inaccessible to "tourists." Each neighborhood within the community will have lower walls, dividing the town into defensible sections.

The website has a link to applications where prospective residents can sign up. According to Citadel, more than 200 families have completed applications, even before any land has been purchased.

While Citadel may sound wonderful to many who are reading this, the community has posted a warning on their home page:

"Marxists, Socialists, Liberals and Establishment Republicans will likely find that life in our community is incompatible with their existing ideology and preferred lifestyles."

Citadel says that every patriot selected to live within the community "will voluntarily agree to follow the footsteps of our Founding Fathers by swearing to one another our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor to defend one another and Liberty against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

I read an article a few years back about a walled town/city in Brazil (30,000 people, I believe) that was inhabited by mostly professional, White, affluent residents. It had 1,200 private armed guards and all non residents were searched on entering and exiting the guard posts.

Brazil has a larger Black population than any other country outside Africa. Maybe a Brazilian form of White Flight?

Liberty should be spread, not fenced in.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I agree 100%. But then we do have people who have castle karma, whose activity is predicated on the mistaken concept that form can be an ultimate protection against impermanance. We both know better, and we both likely know a lot more about maintaining a free and well favored birth than 99% of the people who read this.

Many of us have learned many lessons from the East, and we noticed that the castle doctrine did nothing to save South Vietnam.

Yes Liberty should be spread , not fenced in. Francis Marion would have agreed.

Call out the instigators
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Lock up the streets and houses
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Hand out the arms and ammo
We’re going to blast our way through here
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here, and you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together

Actually, we show up in 2013 with an awful lot of broken stuff and a powerful stench. Earth, though, is made in such a way that the stench, and the sources, will soon be gone, and we will be able to return to a very high tech, but still hunter/gatherer way of life ~ the kind for which the rest of the planet is actually designed.

Much stuff will remain broken ~ eventually plate tectonics and the weather will take care of that.

Just for interest maybe you could add an appropriate dot to your map to represent the location and size of nearest source of potential feral marauders.

I’m about 70 miles west of Detroit with nearly the same sort of small town population between twice over.

The simple fact is that inner city people don’t leave the interstate. The biggest city in this county is about 30,000 with some zombies but even they don’t much leave town.

I don't know but it seems to me to be the easiest way to round up patriots.

Give the encampment a patriotic name, throw some patriotic words and phrasing out there and under that guise they will soon have real Americans paying their own way to be locked up in indoctrination camps. Walk right this way folks and your troubles will be over!

It's got all the things that an indoctrination camp would need. Multi walls (to keep you in after you're already there), residents continually under the watchful eyes of those on the walls, food distribution site (seeing that there is no where in their plans for farming activities or cattle holds), and the list can just keep going on for a long time.

To me, this looks more to keep people in rather than out.

Liberty should be spread, not fenced in.

Should liberty be fenced in with the concept of 'should?' ;-)

What these people are doing isn't my cup of tea and if I were going the communal route I would do it quite differently but I applaud them for trying. Without the freedom to try things, to fail at them and to learn from our mistakes do we really have liberty?

WHAT??? You have zombies downstate, and you don't share that news with us in God's country???? Oh, wait, you're talking about Lansing and A2, right? Well, that's ok...they seldom head our way. Man, ya had me looking for my Zombi ammo! (fortunately, that stuff didn't fall out with the rest of my stuff during the tragic boating accident)
