David Gregory was rewarded with an exclusive interview with President Obama.

This is how the regime makes known its desires. Break the law doing what we want you to do, and we will reward you.

There are, I guess, two sets of laws in this country. What a shameful display of judicial arrogance.

Selective enforcement of law. Remember the ACLU? It used to care about these things. But here, it’s a favorite of the leftist regime who broke the law.
Whenever a normal person breaks the law, even technically, he is arrested.

So is this the all clear to carry magazines in DC since the Attorney General for DC, Irvin Nathan, said:

“...a prosecution would not promote public safety in the District of Columbia nor serve the best interests of the people of the District to whom this office owes its trust.”

He is admitting that it is an ineffective law that should not be enforced...

Just read that the Gregory’s are family friends with the DC Attorney General that declined to press charges.

Shocking!

"....display of the magazine was to promote the First Amendment purpose of informing an ongoing public debate about firearms policy in the United States..."

So as long as you're doing that a crime has not been committed?

Put on a press pass and lock and load.

The “Meet the Press” anchor ignored police guidance and held up an illegal 30-round rifle magazine in his D.C. studio during an interview on Dec. 23 with the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre on gun-control laws.

And in doing so unwittingly made LaPierre's point.

They blinked.

If they were “true believers” they would have arrested little Dave.

A token fine, a day in jail, something, anything would do that the mouthpiece media could have pointed at to “prove” that they are fair.

Nothing.

The city's Office of the Attorney General, which handles low-level crimes, said criminal charges wouldn't serve the public's best interests even though possession of the magazine - capable of holding up to 30 rounds of ammunition - was clearly against local gun laws.

"Influencing our judgment in this case, among other things, is our recognition that the intent of the temporary possession and short display of the magazine was to promote the First Amendment purpose of informing an ongoing public debate about firearms policy in the United States,

The essence of immorality is the tendency to make an exception of myself. ~Jane Addams

They are incapable of believing they are wrong.

It is their Achilles heel.

And once again the hypocrisy of invoking the First Amendment to justify violating the Second Amendment is second only to their continuing to collect thirty pieces of silver...

Normally I’d be happy they didn’t waste time and money enforcing stupid laws, even if it is inappropritely selective, corrupt, and smells of laws for thee but not for me. But imagine how much they already wasted investigating and positioning themselves for PR purposes. Might as well have made an example if you actually believe in the law.

“There is no doubt of the gravity of the illegal conduct in this matter, especially in a city and a nation that have been plagued by carnage from gun violence.”

That doesn’t follow. Unless you think there’s a connection between gun carnage and otherwise innocent people holding empty “large capacity ammunition feeding device[s].” Which there isn’t. Not that the law shouldn’t apply equally to those to whom it applies. But not “especially” because of anything.

Time to fire up the printers and start putting out press credentials for everyone. Apparently they work better than concealed carry permits.

The NRA and Republicans need to make this an issue.

There are 105 people rotting in prisons in DC for this same “offense”.

There is one set of laws in this country; if not, we need a revolution.

“Emily Miller, Senior Editor for Opinion, was deputy press secretary for Secretaries of State Colin L. Powell and Condoleezza Rice. Her political experience also includes working on Capitol Hill as a press secretary and as the communications director to then-House Majority Whip Tom DeLay. Miller’s journalism experience ranges from being a columnist at AOL’s Politics Daily to associate producer at ABC News. She started her career as a desk assistant at NBC News.”

When is the NRA going to hire Emily Miller as their fronts-person? She has met the enemy and they are her’s...
