One Obama promise he is keeping:

He promised to make coal and oil fired power plants too expensive to operate and he is doing exactly that.

This is going on all over the country. If you think there won’t be power outages and power shortages you live in a dreamworld. We are planning for an alternative energy system in the very near future.

500 families lost their jobs. This doesn’t count the coal that won’t be mined, the trains that won’t carry it, etc. Those lives wrecked by the Kenyan communist bastard.

Today in the Ruhr B-17s and B-24s of the 8th Air force successfully destroyed 15 German power plants. The plan is that it would cause shortages, and further cripple German industry.

What would have been a very successful 8th Air Force air raid in WWII against the enemy, is now just a day’s work for Obama. He is a domestic enemy.

It’s going to cost a lot more than 480 jobs when the ripple effects are considered.

Why don’t they just convert all the plants to natgas? That way they can sidestep the mercury AND AGW regs, and quite possibly continue to produce affordable electricity.

That’s what I would try to do if I were running their show.

It’s all part of the Obama plan. He said this would happen when he ran for President. This will only please the relatively small group of environmental fanatics. And the closings will get no news coverage, unless we spread the news around.

About 2 years ago, Obama had been sued in Georgia to produce his legitimate papers (long form birth certificate, etc.). The court approved this trial going forward, everyone got really excited, Obama’s attorney didn’t show up, then, at the last minute, the judge threw out the case & strongly chastised the attorney bringing the charges. The problem is I can’t remember the name of this judge. Then, several months later, the EPA gave approval for a nuclear power plant in Georgia, it’s first if I remember correctly. They usually aren’t as devious as this, but I can’t help but wonder if all this is connected.

With an estimated 280 billion tons the U.S. has the world’s largest known coal reserve. At the current burn rate this would last for 250 years. A prudent government would focus research on clean coal technology. Instead we fund exotic pipe dreams.

Red states need to start passing laws forbidding power generated within the state to be transferred to blue states who refuse to build power plants.

Let the commies sit in the dark for a few days and they will get a new attitude about power ASAP.

I don't even comprehend why this is a story. Zero promised this in 2007-2008.

The story is a little different than the article he used as a source. I have done work at many of these plants. Some are outdated and inefficient. The epa is an ass, though.

He was in a bind,
He was way behind...

But....but....but.....I just bought an electric car, where am I going to plug it in? Am I going to have to drive to Alabama, or South Carolina or Tennessee or Florida and find a working electrical socket?
