This is the real issue. people who have police that respond quickly or people who think they have police that respond quickly vote against guns. But people who know that calling the police is a waste of time because it will be twenty minutes or longer before they arrive know that a gun or the possibility of a gun is the only thing that keeps them from the thugs that roam this land.
Personally I like dogs too. My 155 pound English Mastiff will tell me when someone is coming, make them think twice, and defend me with her life.
