The Sandy relief funds should NOT have been pulled from the Fiscal bullshit bill.

This Sandy bill represents one quarter of one percent (0.25%) of the 3.9 trillion dollar Fiscal Cliff liability. Sandy was a 100 year storm that leveled communities. WTF?

The GOP should have voted NO on the Fiscal Cliff bill, and YES to this relief bill.

Actually the only remotely constitutional responsibility is to pay for some of the vital infrastructure.

We didn’t start forcing taxpayers to pay for acts of God till the last round of progressives slithered through Washington.

“The GOP should have voted NO on the Fiscal Cliff bill, and YES to this relief bill.”

Of course you’re right that they should have voted against the Fiscal Charade.

But they should also have voted against the hurricane “relief bill.”

Wasn’t it loaded with extraneous pork?

And wouldn’t state run relief programs be more cost efficient?

Why does fedzilla have to do everything?

Why don’t states take care of this, putting away money each year for 5 year events, 10 year events, etc.

Fedzilla doesn’t have the money to pay for this; Timmy Geitner will just print it out of thin air.

Check out the Club for Growth release about this.

They should have voted no to both bills.

Government isn’t charity.

The people of NJ, NY, and CT spend at the state and local levels like drunken sailors and they always vote to spend and tax at the federal level. They do not prepare for a “rainy day” and have no rainy day fund because they are broke from spending so much on their damn liberal causes. I don’t give a shit about how small the amount relief fund is in terms of the federal budget. We already spend a trillion dollars more per year than we take in at the federal level - thanks to liberals in NJ, NY and CT. Either conservatives take care of business in NJ, NY and CT on their own or move away.

I already pay enough money in taxes. I intentionally do not live in a flood plain or in an area prone to natural disasters. That is the responsible thing to do if I do not want to pay for a disaster. I certainly do not want anyone to have their money confiscated under threat of force and inprisonment to pay for my lack of preparation. There are enough people in NY, NJ and CT to take care of their own if individuals want to be reckless and do not plan.

Don't ask my children and grandchildren to start their lives off further in debt because of liberals. My new congressman did the right thing. More Republicans need to be conservative and do the right thing and stand up for people like Scott Perry or he will become just another RINO and our nation will be further doomed.

Note: I didn't say anything about pork in the bill. That is because I never read anything in the US Constitution that gives a power to the federal government to be a charity. I suggest you read our constitution, particularly the 10th Amendment.
