$1 Trillion Obamacare Tax Hike Hitting on Jan. 1
Americans for Tax Reform ^ | 12/28/2012

Obamacare contains twenty new or higher taxes. Five of the taxes hit for the first time on January 1. In total, Americans face a net $1 trillion tax hike for the years 2013-2022, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

The five major Obamacare taxes taking effect on January 1 are as follows:

The Obamacare Medical Device Tax: Medical device manufacturers employ 409,000 people in 12,000 plants across the country. Obamacare imposes a new 2.3 percent excise tax on gross sales – even if the company does not earn a profit in a given year. In addition to killing small business jobs and impacting research and development budgets, this will increase the cost of your health care – making everything from pacemakers to artificial hips more expensive.

The Obamacare Flex Account Tax: The 30-35 million Americans who use a pre-tax Flexible Spending Account (FSA) at work to pay for their family’s basic medical needs will face a new government cap of $2500. This will squeeze $13 billion of tax money from Americans over the next ten years. (Currently, the accounts are unlimited under federal law, though employers are allowed to set a cap.)

Gee. I’ll bet the Republicrats are all over this issue as they are on the ethanol boondoggle and all the other evil things the central socialist government does to ruin our nation and our lives.

BTW, a Q-Tip is a medical device under those rules.

Nevermind /Latella. Based on the totality of the circumstances presented in the examples, the examples conclude that non-sterile absorbent tipped applicators [Q-tip], adhesive bandages, snake bite suction kits, denture adhesives, mechanical and powered wheelchairs, portable oxygen concentrators, and therapeutic AC powered adjustable home use beds are devices that fall within the retail exemption.

Without significant cuts in spending America is really doomed, especially after China tells us “We own you”.

I’ve tried explaining that too them.

And they call me a racist and whatever cutesy buzz phrase is going around in liberal circles.

When discussing whether or not to drag the horse in to Troy, there was an old man who told them not too. He warned them that the wooden horse could be full of Greek Warriors. He used his cane to bang on the side of the horse and demonstrate it was hollow.

It didn’t matter.

And when that happens, Obama will exclaim "see, I told you the free market system doesn't work!"

And McConnell thinks he did good by keeping most of us from getting hit with higher taxes...unless he acted like a Democrat and slipped it in the Bill that making current rates “permanent” it means no other taxes....nah.

And just how much money do you think China has invested in US Treasuries?

It's time for liberals and conservatives to realize we don't want the same things... time to split - walk away, breakup, get a divorce - whatever: Consider two countries - a RED STATE and a BLUE STATE solution. Liberal elites won't have to fight us to win all the things they want - and we won't have to argue with them about our positions.

It's a win-win. Liberals can have ALL of the following:

Free - TOTALLY FREE Medical care from cradle to grave. ObamaCare on speed. Unlimited gun control laws.

Unlimited immigration from third world countries.

A minimum wage of $50 an hour.

Taxes on the ‘rich’ of 90% to 98%.

Anyone can vote as ofter as they want to... no ID required.

Teachers have life time appointments - even if they can't pass a simple reading test.

“Marriage” is something between any groups or species or whatever. Anything and everything goes...

Krugman of the New York Times can run the economy - and borrow money from the world until (red state) debt is a million to one.

***********************************************************************

OUR SIDE can have traditional values...

Traditional Medical Care. Voter ID Marriage between a man and a woman. Balanced budget Newspapers that work to win the respect and trust of their readers rather than working for liberal ‘prizes’ to adorn their office walls.

Citizens can keep the Constitution we have now - and ALL of the Bill of Rights.

Boehner and McConnell must have a hard time standing up since both of them lack spines. If this is what passes for GOP leadership then this ballgame is over. We’re screwed as a nation.
