Americans are living in an Orwellian state argue Academy Award-winning director Oliver Stone and historian Peter Kuznick, as they sit down with RT to discuss US foreign policy and the Obama administrations disregard for the rule of law.
Both argue that Obama is a wolf in sheeps clothing and that people have forgiven him a lot because of the nightmare of the Bush presidency that preceded him.
He has taken all the Bush changes he basically put them into the establishment, he has codified them, Stone told RT. It is an Orwellian state. It might not be oppressive on the surface, but there is no place to hide. Some part of you is going to end up in the database somewhere.
According to Kuznick, American citizens live in a fish tank where their government intercepts more than 1.7 billion messages a day. That is email, telephone calls, other forms of communication.
RTs Abby Martin in the program Breaking the Set discusses the Showtime film series and book titled The Untold History of the United States co-authored by Oliver Stone and Peter Kuznick.

Hahahahaha. Oliver got what he wanted and now he’s
afraid. Be afraid, very afraid worthless socialist
dupe.
Looks like Mr. Stone is waking up to the real world—at last. Watch and see how he is taken down and put in his place for not following the party line.
No problem with the government having access to all your computerized medical history though.
And savvy computer folks.
Oliver Stone is probably terrified Obama is going to come take his wealth..Hey Oliver, you voted for the Socialist prick, this is what YOU wanted..you wanted Socialism, now you have it..enjoy
I find this very amusing. I can imagine the shocked looks on their faces as they are placed against the wall having been hoisted by their own petard. Priceless!
It’s never THEM! It’s always the cigar smoking bankers that need money snatched. It’s only when they realize that THEY are the 1% that they move away from California and denounce it.
The book Animal Farm the pig Snowball would be the character to portray George Bush. Everything that went wrong was Snowball's fault. Obama would be one of the pigs. The hogs would be Sorros, bankers... It was a hoot to read. 1984 was fun also.
I hope he does and I will save Oliver a place in the rice paddies right next to me.
Your right..when Obama and the Dems talk about taxing the “Rich” they mean rich Republicans..that is why you have these celebrities who all bent over backwards campaigning for Obama, they know their money won’t be touched..if these celebs had their money taken away from them they would never have voted for Obama
Oliver Stone must be pretty schizophrenic. He was FOR liberalism and abolishing the rule of law before he was AGAINST it!! Sounds as though he has Kerryed!!
Must be those elitist Hollyweird drugs or something . . . .
All thanks to commie d-bags like you, Stone.
I smell a Leni Riefenstahl “Triumph of the Will” production in the making for Oliver Stone.
Never too late. I hope Stone makes a movie about the Bastard.
“Hahahahaha. Oliver got what he wanted and now hes
afraid. Be afraid, very afraid worthless socialist
dupe.”
Stone has worked toward this end his entire life and NOW he doesn’t like it. I think he may be afraid because he thinks he’ll be on the outside, just another subject and not one of the insider elites.
anyone watching his series “Oliver.Stones.Untold.History.Of.The.United.States” on the History Channel?
Stones view on our history...he blames virtually all bad on the US....you can download it here www.kickasstorrents.com
very interresting...his take on our history..BS, but interresting.
Liberal socialists like Mr. Stone did not oppose Obama’s candidacy, he’d be calling Romney’s term “Orwellian”.
The Left wanted it both ways, to claim “I didn’t vote for him, the OTHER guy woulda been better”. Their guy won and they still aren’t happy. but they weren’t principled enough to list their grievances during the campaign. In 2008 and 2012, the GOP base agreed that the candidate at the top of the ticket fell short of the conservative ideal candidate, but there was much thought that he’d at least be better than the other guy.
Their complaints against Boosh hold true for Obama’s policies and moreso without the daily protests and television appearances. Hypocritical outrage. He isn’t taking America to hell in a handbasket fast enough for them.
