Gun Control Debate Exposed The Media’s Bias, David Gregory Exposed Their Hypocrisy
Mediaite ^ | 12/27/12 | Noah Rothman

**SNIP**

The media’s argument in favor of treating Gregory differently from any other citizen who does not anchor a popular Sunday news broadcast is, essentially, “come on! Really?”

Yes, really. The media’s defense of Gregory is entirely personal – he is a member of the media simply doing what the media does. Even if this law is applicable to Gregory (a fact which the media seems prepared to debate), this particular infraction should not result in any penalties. At no point has any member of the media asked if Washington D.C.’s law, which is aimed at reducing the glamour of these extended magazines, is absurd. If Gregory was an anonymous reporter producing this clip during a local news broadcast, or even in private, the media’s response to his infraction would probably have been much different. In fact, as a reader of POLITICO’s Dylan Byers points out, there is historical evidence that suggests it was different not long ago.

While interviewing Sen. Bob Dole (R-KS) in his office, journalist Jack Anderson revealed a handgun from his pocket. His intention was to demonstrate security lapses in Washington. Capitol Hill police did not take the incident lightly. Neither did Anderson’s colleagues.

That is completely different.

Gregory broke the law to show us the evils of gun ownership.

We need more laws (that libs like him shouldn’t have to follow) to protect us from gun ownership.

Lets register every gun in the US so the owners can be identified by name and address on the internet just as if they were child molesters, then we will all be safe.

If he really cared about gun violence, he would not ignore the Fast and Furious scandal. The Fast and Furious guns have killed hundreds of people.

“It isn’t clear that Mr. Gregory is guilty of anything other than perhaps overzealousness in pursuit of the conventional gun-control wisdom, which is not a crime unless we want to empty newsrooms and fill up jails from coast to coast.”

Well, if that's what it takes......

so many children are learning at an early age, through the toy guns they play with, that it's okay just to pretend to kill their friends and fellow schoolmates

And why shouldn’t they.

Guess what you loon; violence and killing are in the Human Genome and all of your social engineering will not change that fact.

All of man kind’s history is a testament to the fact that war and murder are part of a human’s make up.

The only thing that will happen to male child if you do not give him toy guns is that he will find a way to make a toy gun or a toy bow and arrow or a toy knife, spear or slingshot.

Boys play games of violence, it is part of who they are. They play games like; cops and robbers, Cowboys and Indians. All of the games boys play are adversarial games. Bang you’re dead.

Unless you have a home with out a TV your child will see programs where there is violence much of it involving firearms used to shoot and kill people. Even children’s programming will have this kind of animated violence.

But fortunately history does have the cure for controlling man’s violent nature. That answer (which much of resent history has seen a movement to destroy) is Christianity. Christianity has been as positive cure for taming much of the boy’s inclination to violence. The rule of God not to murder has and the threat of eternal damnation has placed a break on that urge to eliminate rivals and crush those who we believe have wronged us.

To be sure this cure is not always effective but it has proven better than the alternatives.

In 1954/1955, Roy Rogers, Davy Crockett, and the Lone Ranger were my heros. As a 6 year old among a large group of neigborhood 6 year olds ( about 16 of us) we regularly divided up into sides, organized and held shootouts with our cap guns, and wore our Cowboy hats and coon skin caps with pride at the dinner table until we were made to take them off.

None of us ever killed another human being. But today we all have rifles and handguns at our homes as adults, and we damn well know how and when to use them lawfully.

Hiyoh Silverrrrrrrr!

And eff everyone of these gun slagging liberal fascist psycho psychologist idiots. They know nothing about guns and their lawful use by the righteous and men of peace. Every one of us were heros and wore white hats. We emulated the good guys, not anyone who would shoot a room full of school children. Now why do children today emulate the bad guys? Ask yourself that. And if any change needs to be made, it is right there.

Good point.

Positive role models that protect the weak and the innocent from the predations of the wicked and evil are important to the development of Godly men.

And it is Godly men who are the foundation of a culture that does not have men randomly kill their fellow men.

Alinsky’s rule for radicals - make your enemies live by their own rules. I think we should apply that to Gregory - his rule, his punishment.

Hey, don’t forget the towels we tied to our backs so that we could pretend to be Superman, or the Zorro set, with the hat, mask, cape and sword with chalk so that we could put a “Z” on things.

Every year at the York Fair, they sold Yankee and Rebel hats, and then, for about a week, we played Civil War battles.

“Bang, Bang, you’re dead.” “Fix, fix, you’re better now.”

Does anyone, anywhere believe that the media would be treating this the same way if LaPierre had been the one that brought the same mag onto the same show for similar demonstration purposes?
