Governor Rick Scott today announced that Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent for the month of November – down 0.4 percentage points from last month.
That’s the lowest it’s been since November 2008. This is also the largest drop in the rate over the month since October 1992, and was the second time it occurred this year. The November 2012 rate was 2.0 percentage points lower than the year-ago rate of 10.1 percent. Private-sector job growth over the month jumped to more than 24,000.
Since the month before the Governor took office after December 2010, the state’s unemployment rate has dropped 3.0 percentage points and 202,500 private sector jobs have been created. He is well on pace to deliver on his promise of 700,000 jobs in seven years.

Miami and Palm Beach media have IGNORED this Republican governor's success. Instead, they focus on the hatred teachers unions have for him. The media in Florida is extremely biased.
Like Democrats, we need to continue the campaign. Advertisements need to be running by the Republican Party of Florida and/or the RNC showcasing our teams’ successes.
You know damn well the media won’t be honest or fair and balanced.

Of course the unemployment rate will drop. They just killed off the extended unemployment benefits and took those names off the unemployed rolls.

My former boss, a VP with a Fortune 500 company, is on a committee set up by Governor Scott. The objective is to bring jobs into the state. The VP said that if a company can bring in as few as 50 jobs then Governor Scott will personally get on the phone and make a deal.
How about a letter writing campaign - shaming the paper - that can work - especially if the letters are released to another newspaper.
Also, have a large group of people call in and cancel their subscriptions.
You might be surprised what the reaction is from the paper and from other readers.

For the past few years whenever the “unemployment rate” dropped nationally, the press here was quick to credit His Excellency and his programs for that success. Conversely, whenever the state of florida’s rate dropped, they quickly noted it was due to people giving up looking for work.
In the US, there is a fifth and now a six column working against the Republic. The fifth column is the Dems, the sixth is the press.

For Republicans, it may be the season to be jolly, but not optimistic.
Seventy-two percent of Republicans are fearful about their future in 2013, and 79 percent fear for the world, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. This is a substantial increase in GOP gloom since 2006, when only 20 percent said they were fearful about their personal future during the Republican presidency of George W. Bush. Fifty-four percent of Republicans were fearful about their personal prospects after Democrat Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008.
In contrast, three-quarters of Democrats are hopeful about their own lives today, the same as in 2008, the poll found, as are half of independents.
Overall, 53 percent of Americans say they are hopeful for themselves in 2013,

If I were a 4th generation welfare recipient living in public housing, watching my big screen television and talking on my Obamaphone I might also be extremely hopeful about my future. However, as one of the slave producers who pay for the welfare state, count me among the 72%.
However, given what we can expect for Christmas temp hires and the fiscal disaster rapidly approaching, I treat this news with the same level of expectations that I great like news from the Obama regime on the O-conomy.

Can you send them a message to knock off the "make a deal" part? Government's job is to enforce contracts, not monkey around in the business sector.
