BENGHAZI REVIEW FINDS SYSTEMATIC SECURITY FAULTS
ASSOCIATED PRESS ^

An independent panel charged with investigating the deadly Sept. 11 attack in Libya that killed a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans has concluded that systematic management and leadership failures at the State Department led to "grossly" inadequate security at the mission in Benghazi.

"Systematic failures and leadership and management deficiencies at senior levels within two bureaus of the State Department resulted in a Special Mission security posture that was inadequate for Benghazi and grossly inadequate to deal with the attack that took place," the panel said.

“The report appeared to break little new ground about the timeline of the Benghazi attack during which Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens, information specialist Sean Smith and former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods - who were contractors working for the CIA - were killed. Stevens’ slaying was the first of a U.S. ambassador since 1988.”

“since 1988”?

I guess AP considers Arnold L. Raphel’s plane crash a “slaying” ?

Hillary! MUST testify in person. Otherwise she will get away with not being under oath. No written testimony. She must tell the truth or be accountable for perjury.

Whitewash!

quote

Despite those failures, the Accountability Review Board determined that no individual officials ignored or violated their duties and recommended no disciplinary action now.

It said the response by Diplomatic Security agents on the scene and CIA operatives at a nearby compound that later came under attack itself had been “timely and appropriate” and absolved the military from any blame. “There was simply not enough time for armed U.S. military assets to have made a difference,” it said.

The report also discounted speculation that officials in Washington had refused appeals for addition help after the attack had begun.

“The Board found no evidence of any undue delays in decision making or denial of support from Washington or from the military combatant commanders,” it said. To the contrary, the report said the evacuation of the dead and wounded 12 hours after the initial attack was due to “exceptional U.S. government coordination and military response” that helped save the lives of two seriously wounded Americans.

If Hillary gets a pass on this, then we are abruptly learning that the Sec of State position is Miss Hoboken, an empty chair, a political appointment, carrying no more consequence than that of the Ambassador to Norway, of no real importance. Miss Hoboken should be as proud.

Attending Thursday’s hearing instead will be Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Thomas Nides.

Two choicely crafted sentences purposefully strung together....

And both false, unless you allow that the Board didn’t look deeply enough into the facts.

At least the report nailed Obama, Jarrett, Axelrod and Rice here:

“But it confirmed that contrary to initial accounts, there was no protest outside the consulate and said responsibility for the incident rested entirely with the terrorists who attacked the mission.”

ENTIRELY with terrorists...

So who was this “intelligence community” who said it started with a protest of the video???

This ‘report’ is a detestable sham. And if congress accepts this as the last word on Benghazi, then they are as detestable and culpable for the murders of these Americans as anyone else in this malevolent administration. They are as unworthy of respect as any anti-American leftist in existence and damn them all.
And when the government becomes unworthy of a respect, disconnected from the People, lacking in all decency or accountability, it’s time for a new Declaration.

Seizethecarp: The report, to your specific point, is not concluding anything that is other than present, general public knowledge-—even now admitted from the people that perpetrated the fraud “in the fog of war” BS, so to speak.

MM & Seizethecarp:

Hillary gets the benefit of the report & her eagerness to implement its 29 recommendations, the absence of her presence at the hearing on Thurs, the results of the hearings on Thurs, and the MSM’s reportage of the same.

I expect if she gets summoned to testify in Jan/Feb/ or Mar, she will parrot the report and the testimony of Deputy Secretary of State William Burns and Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Thomas Nides.

Not sure why I am so angry at this report. I didn’t expect anything other than this whitewash, but I am angry. Maybe because I fear it might be going down the F&F drain.

Chaffetz is internalizing and vocalizing a slow burn that may be getting ready to erupt. Who else? Who else will join him? Recently commenting on TV that he has no idea who was injured and survived, where they are, what is their condition, what is their testimony? He is steaming! And good for him-—intelligence, honor, and blood runs through his veins!

I don’t know if you know who Chris Plante is (radio talk), but every single time he brings up Benghazi (which is often), he points out that we still don’t even know the cause of death of Stevens and Sean. May be a minor point in the grand traitorious conspiracy of it all, but it is a poignant, real, salient point —— we do not know the cause of death of Amb Stevens. Why is that?
