A solidly pro-abortion crowd gives a leftist in cloth a standing O.

For them, life begins at six, at least.

Dare he address the holder of the gun inflicting the carnage? No, that would mean infringing on a civil right to be evil. But somehow it is okay to infringe on my civil and constitutional right to simply possess a gun.

“As followers of Jesus, we have the duty to disarm ourselves so that thugs and tyrants can do as they please?”

What Bible verse is THAT from???

Oh wait - it is the Episcopal Church.

The religious arm of the democrat party.

And a dying church...

All of the most massive mass murders in history have been committed by governments that have disarmed their people.

The badge of a police officer, does not protect you from any weapon carried by that police officer.

Instead, that police officer’s respect for the responsibility of carrying and lawfully using any weapon, achieved thru *both*

1) a desire to be, and remain, disciplined about keeping and bearing Arms

2) practicing and training in the discipline of keeping and bearing Arms

That is no different, than the same discipline and duties of all of us.

Young people especially, but all who have missed the opportunity, should *learn* how to practice good and safe weapons discipline.

Human responsible agency, is the key.

Being responsible takes both good instruction (many of us were lucky to get that from one of our parents), and a continuation of the discipline.

We pay for police officers to remain in practice.

We fail in each state, to pay for mustering the militia, county by county, to also drill ... *and set an example.*

In so many inner city communities where young men and women are without access to good instruction, the cities, the counties, the states ... and the N.R.A. ... should step in to provide it, to require it.

Yes, the N.R.A. does provide a lot of training, but we need to get to the roots of communities where the kids are without weapons disclipline.

Emphasize, that “these weapons, firearms or not, are for our use in defending against attacks.”

That has to be in “the media.”

I’m with you Rev. Gary. Why stop at guns? Americans killed by drunk driving in 2010 - 10,228

Where are the calls for prohibition of alcohol round 2?

How about abortion? The numbers are staggering.

You can play that game all day and start with Hollyweird and the constant death-porn they pump out of their sewage dump.

"“Why do we as a society tolerate these massacres in increasing numbers?” "

The Episcopal Church is all hunky-dory with murdering millions of babies each year.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_and_abortion#The_Episcopal_Church

The Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church in the United States of America has taken a pro-choice stand and has passed resolutions at its triannual General Convention that supports abortion rights, but believes it should be used "only in extreme scenarios." The church opposes any government action that limits abortion rights, including parental notification.[40] The ECUSA also condemns violence against abortion clinics.[40] The Church does express opposition to "abortion as a means of birth control, family planning, sex selection, or any reason of mere convenience."

To: Tailgunner Joe; All

This is the dean of the EPISCOPAL “National” Cathedral folks, his female bishop is more Buddhist than Christian—and neither he nor her has any idea at all what the cross is about...and they openly commit perjury every service when they recite the creeds.

The very fact that a sermon would strongly advocate one side of a contentious political debate—ie, they are making politics “theology” is utterly ridiculous. These folks wouldn’t know the Gospel if He were born a baby in a manger...

The Episcopal Church has advocated gun control for many years.

Along with normalizing homosexuality and a few other bits of highly questionable logic.

Abortions in the United States

Total number of abortions in the U.S. 1973-2011: 54.5 million+

234 abortions per 1,000 live births (according to the Centers for Disease Control)
Abortions per year: 1.2 million
Abortions per day: 3,288
Abortions per hour: 137
9 abortions every 4 minutes
1 abortion every 26 seconds

These statistics include only surgical and medical abortions. Because many contraceptive measures are abortifacients (drugs that induce or cause abortions), it is important not to overlook the number of children killed by chemical abortions. Since 1965, an average of 11 million women have used abortifacient methods of birth control in the United States at any given time. Using formulas based on the way the birth control pill works, pharmacy experts project that about 14 million chemical abortions occur in the United States each year, providing a projected total of well in excess of 610 million chemical abortions between 1965 and 2009.

When conducting research on abortion statistics, you may also encounter two different sets of numbers. One set is from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and the other is from the Guttmacher Institute, the “independent research arm” of Planned Parenthood Federation of America.

The Guttmacher Institute totals are actually the more accurate since the Institute conducts private research on abortion providers throughout the country and because not all states are required to report to the CDC. In fact, California and New York, where high numbers of abortions occur, are not included in CDC figures.

Ratio of adoption referrals to abortions: 1 per 392

2011 PP Annual Survey

Total number of PP clinics: 749
Total number of PP clinics that perform surgical and medical abortions: 322

This is a man speaking for a dying church. The NRA probably has more Christian members than this man’s gay church. It’s a Marxist social club. Christians beleive in protection of the innocent from predators. The madmen of Marxism feel unsafe in this enviornment.

How are they going to break all those eggs to arrive at their atheist utopia if the millions of targets can shoot back?
