Prayers for those involved.
One of my friends just posted something about this on Face Book offering prayers for victims and “Hoping hoping all are ok and someone takes guns off the streets!!”
Needless t say, for the sake of a 35 year friendship - I am not responding to her posting.
You should just agree with her saying criminals should not have guns.
Gabby, you need to block her. It’s the only thing they understand. I’ve blocked and deleted dozens of people, family included, on FB. It’s all they deserve.
I remember once at work during lunch someone was talking bad about guns.. I said “We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for guns”, thinking I made a pro-American ‘feel good’ statement.. Well, I guess the 4 or 5 Mexican-Americans nearby felt a bit differently about my comment. LOL
I think you can think of a way to respond to her without causing ill feelings. She only knows what the media wants her to know.
She doesn’t seem to care about your friendship, why should you care about hers? Are you usually drawn to abusive relationships?
“Guns off the streets” is the left’s Orwellian Newspeak for banning guns from the citizenry.
Unless she had direct ties to the shooting, you ought to reply to her post that removing all guns will not prevent the deranged from harming and killing people. Just look what the Islamofascists can do with a suicide vest.
We need to shut down the leftists who use Facebook to propagandize.
Maybe someone should ask her why, as guns have been around for thousands of years, we are seeing a lot of these happening recently. The problem isn’t guns, it is other things in society resulting in mental derangement. We can debate what those are, but to go after the guns is to attack the symptom, not the problem
You need to tell her that all teachers should be required to carry guns...like I just did to my FB friends.
Just say “yeah, but then our second amendment rights would be violated. Besides, in China a man stabbed 22 people at a school. We can’t very well take knives off the streets. It’s the criminals that we need to take off the streets.”
