Oregon Mall Gunman Identified as Jacob Tyler Roberts

The masked gunman who killed two people in the crowded Clackamas Town Center mall in suburban Portland, Ore., was identified today as Jacob Tyler Roberts.

Roberts, 22, was armed with a stolen AR-15 semi-automatic weapon, Sheriff Craig Roberts told a news conference today. He was not wearing a bullet-proof vest as previously reported.

Jacob Tyler Roberts, born March 16, 1990 died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and the rifle was recovered at the scene.

Yet the police chief said he was not prepared to answer that question yet. They would not say he had shot himself or whether the LEOs shot him.

I think it was neither. I think it was a citizen who was carrying concealed and popped this kid. The police will have that person under wraps and are not ready to reveal this little fact to the media.
